Got to fill out those summer league rosters.Does Theo John have dirt on somebody? First Coach K wants him and now the Timberwolves sign him! He wasn't at all good at the college level...I just don't get it.

They asked Sidney Dean to play summer pro.Got to fill out those summer league rosters.
Another former SJ player, Malik Ellison, also playing for the 76ersJust an FYI for those who are interested, Julian is playing now on ESPN2. They are showing the Salt Lake Summer League game between the 76ers and the Jazz. He is wearing number five for the Sixers.
Looks like Julian’s off to a rough start shooting 2-16 from the floor and 0-8 from 3 in first 2 games. Hopefully he wakes up soon!
I didn't see the game so just wondering if he is just missing open jumpers or is he being affected by some tight defense and not being able to get off a good shot?Looks like Julian’s off to a rough start shooting 2-16 from the floor and 0-8 from 3 in first 2 games. Hopefully he wakes up soon!
Actually watched some, he looked passive...lingering around the 3pt line...no aggressive moves to the basket,...Paul Reed from DePaul, he looked like an NBA player, at least physically...Julian looked physically over matched...but it was just one game.I didn't see the game so just wondering if he is just missing open jumpers or is he being affected by some tight defense and not being able to get off a good shot?
Not sure that look will change much, he is who he is.Actually watched some, he looked passive...lingering around the 3pt line...no aggressive moves to the basket,...Paul Reed from DePaul, he looked like an NBA player, at least physically...Julian looked physically over matched...but it was just one game.
Do well, Julian!
It's an unfortunate situation where I think he'd look better on an NBA team right now -- he could defer to veteran players and play within his laid-back self. But the huge problem is that he needs to be super aggressive now every second he's on the court to get that spot.Actually watched some, he looked passive...lingering around the 3pt line...no aggressive moves to the basket,...Paul Reed from DePaul, he looked like an NBA player, at least physically...Julian looked physically over matched...but it was just one game.

Unfortunately it wasn’t one game it was 3 straight games. NBA has a saying-killing it in summer league means nothing doing poorly means you’re gone. Hopefully JC’s two way contract affords him more opportunity.Actually watched some, he looked passive...lingering around the 3pt line...no aggressive moves to the basket,...Paul Reed from DePaul, he looked like an NBA player, at least physically...Julian looked physically over matched...but it was just one game.

He was too passive for someone fighting for an NBA camp slot. The other guys were playing like their families were held hostage, Paul Reed flew over everyone for a rebound because he wanted it most. Need some muscle weight too. It's an unfortunate situation where I think he'd look better on an NBA team right now -- he could defer to veteran players and play within his laid-back self. Hi Al, haven’t seen you post in a while . Your assessment of JC isn’t wrong but , in light of what he contributed here , was maybe a tad harsh? A great many very good players in the BE never get drafted or play in the NBA . It’s isn’t a end to their BB careers . They can earn very good $$$ playing overseas . Not in Russia though . Champ is likely in that category . I often asked what the difference was between Julian and Justin’s game was but , never got answer . Justin seems somewhat more likely to be a on / off NBA player .I'm not sure what you folks have been watching for the past 3 years, but Champagnie has always played "soft". There has never been a doubt (at least in my mind) that he would never be a NBA player.
