Shouldn’t the use of the word telegraph be updated to text as in he texted that pass?Let’s not telegraph the in-pass every time.
Agree with most of this, however, I do think it is fair to say that Joel was lacking in energy, for whatever reason, the previous few games. Hopefully he has his second wind and will get more assistance from his teammates so he can be a dominate force, as we need. After the loss to Marquette, in the post game presser, CRP staunchly defended Joel's play as not being the problem. He said he's been double and triple teamed, and called out a bunch of Joel's teammates by name to step it up.
Gonna bet that vote of confidence went a long way in the performance Joel put forth last night. When Rick pulled Joel with about a minute to go to a huge ovation, Rick gave Joel a long big hug, a sign of just how much Rick loves Joel as a person.
Wilcher got a start because IMO Rick wanted to give him a vote on confidence. I thought he played reasonably well.
The answer to "what's wrong with Joel?" is nothing. A little slump, maybe, but nothing more. Teammates make shots, they have to be guarded, freeing Joel inside and out.
Rick is not just a great coach, but great psychologist.
100%. And he also pushed the right buttons with Dingle. His defense/motor were the best I've seen thus far. After the loss to Marquette, in the post game presser, CRP staunchly defended Joel's play as not being the problem.
