Jermaine Lawrence

Not at all saying I don't want jermaine. Just wondering why he struggled, because, like most of you, I'm not an avid follower of bearcat basketball so I don't know

Lawrence struggled to find his way as a freshman. A top 25 recruit coming out of high school, Lawrence averaged only 2.8 points and 2.9 rebounds this past season. He missed eight games due to a turf toe injury that slowed his development and had a difficult time staying out of foul trouble."

"You lose five weeks of conditioning in the middle of the season and it just destroys your season," UC head coach Mick Cronin said after the season. "He just needs minutes so he can get comfortable on how to attack the defense and how to use his skills."

He struggled at Cincy? It's not like he didn't get time either.

Cincy's offensive system makes ours look like the Princeton.

He looked lost the few times I watched him play.

But he also looked taller and aggressive as a rebounder.

Looks like he got bad advice which we all felt at the time he committed.

I don't think 6th grade CYO in Northern Idaho could make our offense sets look like Princeton.

Was dealing with a "turf toe" problem much of the year. Hey, this was a five-star recruit with a very high ceiling. Here's hoping we can land him.

Sorry but he was injured for 3/4 of his senior year.

He wasn't worth the 5-star ranking with that body of work.

So you're saying we shouldn't pursue him?

I've been quite clear that we should.

That has nothing to do with his high school ranking.

Apologies if I misinterpreted you. Think Lawrence would be a great get.

Imagine a front court of:
Obekpa - C
Lawrence- PF
C. Jones- SF

And with what is likely one of the top 3 backcourts in the nation with Harrison & Jordan, it could actually be a much better team than this yr and advance in the tourney in spite of Lavin

I think Lawrence would be the starting SF and Thomas is starting PF.

Agree

Those saying that we have a better shot if she stays out of it, guess you are referring to his handler that wanted some type of movie or documentary about his college experience. Maybe that has cooled down now-not much interest in featuring a player that averaged 2 and 2. Maybe now she will let him concentrate on basketball so maybe he can still have a lucrative pro career.

I can't believe Cincy would have agreed to anything like that. It's actually preposterous, hope this person is far out of the picture.

Actually, most people/organizations comply when law enforcement asks them not to take action which might compromise a criminal investigation.

Explain to me how NOT playing 3 potential defendants in a basketball game that is completely unrelated to the accusation impedes their investigation?

It might not have. Could be favorable treatment for the hometown basketball team. My point is simply that when the police make such a request, people usually comply. I personally don't agree with such a delay in taking action.

I understand cooperation with law enforcement but I cannot believe this is true.

EPD tells @KEZI9 they didn't say UO couldn't suspend players or not play them in NCAA games. So...why did UO Prez not tell Altman?

Again I understand cooperating with law enforcement when they ask you to do something. My point is what purpose would it serve to have or not have them play in a basketball game and then why would the police want or not want that.

Lawrence would be huge IMHO. A top 25 talent with three years of eligibility left gets me really excited. I hope we can land him!

Well the Cincy part of the documentary they can reuse the title " gone in sixty seconds "
