Just in case people forgot the type of player he is- he's been hurt all season- but looked to have a solid handle and some spin moves down low. Realize highlight tapes don't reveal weaknesses in a players game, but would be a great grab for Lav.

He'll stay overnight Saturday and then lav will probably take him out in the city on Sunday. That's what we did with recruits in college. Hopefully the team will be celebrating a W and the team takes him into the city instead of Utopia Pkway lol

They take him to the place where he was a subway ride away his whole life...if I was a recruit I would want to watch the practices.
I'm pretty much sure that Jermaine has watched and attended SJU practices before. They will probably want him to bond with a few of the players. He already says he knows Obekpa.
Jermaine visiting when there is not an actual game can be seen as a positive for us. Means he has already seen enough for the type of style we play. That saves a good amount of time for Lavin to spend in car salesman mode.

I agree I would love to see him play here. Could help on the boards and put Jakarr into the sf, Lawrence being pf, and Obekpa as C. And Lavin is the best salesman in the NCAA.

Jermaine Lawrence is expected to visit St. John’s this weekend although he is still awaiting confirmation from the staff, sources confirmed to SNY.tv.
The news was first reported by Evan Daniels of Scout com.
St. John’s plays at DePaul at 11 a.m. Saturday, but the Johnnies would be back in New York after that. Monday is a holiday and Lawrence could theoretically stay through part of that day.
The 6-foot-10 Lawrence told SNY.tv last Saturday that he would visit St. John’s sometime soon and then decide soon thereafter.
“St. John’s is close by home, the coaching staff is cool,” he said. “I like their style of play. They get up and down and their power forwards have freedom.”
