James Jones - Next Coach (oh boy)?

Hofstra season ticket requests jumped 40% this week
I know you joke but my wife and I discussed Hofstra tickets last night as an option.

At least they have seatbacks.
Hofstra is def an option but can’t hold a candle to the Big East.
I agree but now there is the factor of nothing but 40 point beatdowns over competitive games.

Before Cragg leaves he should notify MSG his original plan to play all big east games and two games vs majors at MSG has been revised based on the SJU board of trustees unintentional decision to move the program to Div two. SJU will limit the MSG schedule to a game vs De Paul.
Cragg has also revised his plan to expand CA to keep it as is but expanding the size of the seats which will lower capacity to three thousand insuring a couple of sell outs.

Was told Paul Hewitt was very interested in St. John's job, but was waiting to see how things would shake out with James Jones, who many have considered the favorite. #sjub

Yikes, that entire Tweet is brutal.

I think I'd rather Paul Hewitt over James Jones, right? Hewitt has been at a high major before at least...recruited at all schools that give scholarships....

A guy who was good 20 years ago and got fired by George Mason? I'd rather take a chance on James Jones.

Word is that Oliva was blown away reading From Here to Eternity.

If he is hired, his first test will be re-recruiting the current roster...if he fails at this it’s over.

If he passes the 1st test, then he needs to be able to take a run at Tabor and the grad Xfers. If he fails at that we will be back in the Norm days pretty soon.

Thanks. But I'll be gone soon enough
So what do you do, if say, Jones is hired and has success? I know you think there is no way, but indulge me.

But I think my pallete is safe

Ultimately the HC is the closer. The Ass coaches bring the kids for the coach to close them. We are in the BE we need minimum some 4 star ans 3 star kids and ideally 5 star kids. At Yale the close is the school! So you arent required to be a closer. Here what would Jones be selling? Nba connects? Make you better? NCAA pedigree? He will have a hard time being a closer against sharks that do it all day long! We need a shark!

Decision-makers at St. John's are interviewing more than one head coaching candidate today. #sjubb

How funny would it be if two coaches were offered by two diff people at SJU and both accept!

If I am Cragg I bring in my own guys, interview them, and offer the one you want, what you deem fair. If the crap show want to override you, make them fire you! Then expose them..
