Hey 72-why didn't JaKarr just put his recruitment in your hands and let you pick the school for him?
Newsflash: He picked a school! He decommitted from that school.
Bamfan must be originally from Brooklyn. This is called a recruiting "do-over".
I do not do "do-overs"! It is counterproductive in the long run.
It is very rare for a decom to recommitt to the same school.
There is so much BS surrounding this one player that I frankly do not give a crap about him. So far he has given props to Kansas..almost verballed on his visit. Told Baylor they are in his top 5, loves Cooley because he shows him so much love and will just love sunny Gainesville soon. He has not said very many nice things about Lav or SJ lately.
Hey, but what do I know? An "insider" on JJ said he ruled SJ out a week ago. Another "insider" on JJ said he was announcing "something" after his last game.
I love kids that love St. John's. Right now, Jakarr does not qualify.......just as he did not in September.
If he swallows some SJ love potion and signs I will be happy but he is putting Lav through the ringer.

If you trust in Lavin how can you also say move on? Lavin is the one who is still HEAVILY RECRUITING this kid. If you just took kids that only loved St J's you would have nobody or only lower talented kids. One of best redmen of all time-George Johnson wanted to go to Maryland but they ran out of schollys, Artest almost signed with Miami, Malik Sealy almost signed with Providence. Many recruits after signing say it was a tough decision. Would you only date a beautiful woman if she only had eyes for you?

The first casualty of St. John’s monster nine-man class is now official.
Jakarr Sampson has decommitted from St. John’s and reopened his recruitment, Don Anderson, Sampson’s former AAU coach, told CBSSports.com.
Sampson was one of three Red Storm freshmen ruled ineligible by the NCAA for the first semester. While Norvel Pelle and Amir Garrett are planning to take classes in order to become eligible for the second semester, Sampson went back to Brewster Academy (N.H.).
“[He] has decided to return to Brewster Academy as a post-grad student and to further his education to complete his academic requirement to attend college academically,” Anderson told CBSSports.com on Saturday.
When Sampson, a 6-foot-7 forward, originally committed to St. John’s, he chose the Red Storm over Tennessee, Baylor and Louisville. He was ranked in the top 40 by most recruiting outlets.

I hope you are correct Marillac.
From a recruiting pov it could bite Lav on his credibility ass if he loses him the second time around because he already lost Ricardo Gathers the second time around. When they decommitted there were a dozen top 100 players we could have put a full court press on but either did not or were rejected outright. That never bodes well in recruiting circles and opposing coaches use any means necessary to highlight recruiting losses as a reflection of either the program or the coaches.
