There comes a time in life when "enough is enough" whether it be a friend, a job one longs for or a young (perhaps spoiled) college recruit.
Let Mr. Sampson go elsewhere. Our program is on a great path and direction and with or without him we'll do well.
As far as playing (on any level) in New York, just consider the Mullins and Jeters et al of the world - you will never regret the publicity, attention, "love" (assuming you play well and are a kid of positive character). You will become part of NY folklore and history. Can't get the same thing anywhere else.
My brains are freezing with my kid's rap, loud music :headphones: (which he plays as loud as I did back in college (watchingmy school Army and Coach Knight and Mike K beat up on the Redmen in Alumni Hall etc.) BUT I do believe Sinatra's lyrics were not:
If you can make it in Storrs, you won't become one of the boars…
If you can make it in Lexington, then you'll always get it done…(emphasis on "ton" as in "done")
If you can make it in the ACC, then you'll always be, be, be (something)...
If Mr. Sampson chooses elsewhere - over all the positives we offer to include our tremendous need for a physical player - godspeed to all (and to all a good night etc.) and we all move on.
all the best AND sorry about the cr..py rhymes
