Don't forget the last part of what I wrote...still holding out hope. It just seems everything is contradictory right now. Rumors of a coaching job offered to Morton by SHU, late night chats about playing with Briscoe, the "shock the world" tweet by Whitehead...all of that makes it sound like SHU. But then Zags tweets it appears to be a done deal and people would be shocked if it wasn't SJU. Ugh.

Come on man, stay home. Like the Post said the other day, it would be a nice change of pace for us to keep McD AA's. Nice to see Harkless pushing recruits towards SJU being very visible and proud of where he comes from. If we don't get him at least we can rest assured we did everything we could...Baron Davis, Harkless, nice day in Manhattan, pitching the city, new jerseys, new branding, plus Lavin is among the best closers.

Did you miss the part where Briscoe will be on sju campus next week? I am glad I wasn't born a pessimist. Whatever happens happens. We will survive if shu had to take desperate measures a to secure IW.

Which is such BS...how is that NOT a violation? Giving a gift to a recruit's coach in the form of an actual job? There has to be a rule somewhere. But whatever, honestly I really hope we get him even though I think he is an SHU lean...at SHU at least he's still in the Big East. Unfortunately for him they won't go anywhere while he's there but he will get a ton of PT. I guess it comes down to tons of PT and a losing team vs. some PT and a team with sweet 16 talent.

What is more appealing about Seton Hall that Delgado and Whitehead would rather play there than St. John's? Is this purely playing time?
 
People need to learn the difference between pessimism and making predictions based off actual evidence that supports it. Evidence as of now says SHU. My heart wants it to be SJU. True we didn't absolutely need him, but he would have put us over the top. We need as much scoring punch as possible on this team because our offense has been terrible.

Yesterday seems more like a formality now and honestly why even bother reaching out to SJU when SJU was already beginning to distance themselves? I understand kids are indecisive and things change but he gave SJU a ton of false hope in 1 day now it's nearly evaporated.

Regardless of the outcome today, I am just disgusted at what's going on. This is dirty recruiting and even if we may not be the culprits here, just being associated with this kind of happenings just reeks.

SJU has lost a countless number of local recruits. This just seems like Kyle Anderson Post Traumatic Syndrome from the Hall.

Either way, I just hope our alumni and fans keep it classy on social media either way this goes.

Nothing will heal the Whitehead pain like a great year for Jordan, and a top 25 SJU team. To those who laughed at me for making it seem like SHU was the hot school, the tables are now turned. Not only will they get Whitehead per sources but likely Briscoe as well. SHU is very much the hot school now.

Some Georgetown fans felt the same after their recruitment of Nerlens Noel. His recruitment was similar to what we're witnessing today. Several fans didn't feel right about their association in his recruitment. Felt something just was off about it.

We really need this dude were challenged to score the ball..Lavin has really cooled down in recruitng after a crazy hot start..maybe we are what we are at this point as a program

If we lose a bigtime nyc kid to seton hall then it maybe time to reevaluate how good we can be anymore
 
This just means more playing time for Max Hooper which is a good thing.
 
I don't know what would be more enjoyable:

(A) IW committing to SJU;

(B) IW not committing to SJU and reading the highly objective reactions on here about the current state of our program as a result; or

(C) It looking like IW is committing to Seton Hall, reading 3+ hours of reactions on here about the current state of our program as a result, and then IW committing to SJU.

Probably C in a runaway. But there really is no bad choice. That's how great the reactions will be.
