Just saw Lavin's post on Instagram- and looks like he had lunch with BD in Manhattan today. Question for the forum- Is it a violation to tweet/post etc anything about an unsigned recruit? Think he brought BD in for the Kyle Anderson visit last year as well if I remember correctly...

Yea it would be a violation. He won't post anything. Like someone said you might get a vague Hammer to Rock post or something and put 2 and 2 together.

Yes but there is nothing about that photo connected to the recruitment of IW.

Clearly he did. You can see his reflection in Lav's glasses.

I think your right because when I zoom to Keady's glasses I think I see a reflection of him holding a piece of paper that says LOI

Guess SH is not the hot school but only his safety school as he saved the best for last, as Lavin closes this out like Mariano Rivera. :cheer:

At one point in time, five-star shooting guard Isaiah Whitehead was considered a lock to leave his region for Louisville, Indiana, Syracuse or Minnesota. Now it is looking as if he will stay close to home.

Isaiah Whitehead is a physical scoring machine.

The Brooklyn native announced Tuesday night via Twitter that he would make his college decision on Thursday at Lincoln High School in New York. He will pick between St. John’s, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Indiana.
Longtime favorite Syracuse isn't even on the list.

Whitehead is considered as the top prospect in the state of New York and the fifth best shooting guard in the class of 2014 by the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also considered the 17th best player overall in the class of 2014.

Up until Monday, Seton Hall was considered the favorite according to the Crystal Ball, receiving 60 percent of the votes. Now, St. John’s has been picked 21 straight times and is the overwhelming favorite at 70 percent. Seton Hall predictions have dwindled down to just 20 percent.

Whitehead is scheduled to visit St. John's today and visited Seton Hall last weekend. He has also visited Indiana but has not visited Minnesota or Pittsburgh.

The Red Storm currently have no other commitments for the class of 2014, but have three freshman guards on their current roster for this upcoming season.

St. John’s is looking to get back to the NCAA Tournament for this first time since 2011. The Red Storm has never won a national title, and hasn’t made it past the Sweet 16 since 1999.

instagram.com/p/eacBFKRYln/And maybe I'm crazy but I swear that building right behind them on the right I think I know. I'm pretty sure that's near our old main hq 388 greenwich across the street

Exactly right. I work in 390, which is is visible direcely above BD's head. If I had seen this in time, I would have gone over and gotten some insight on IW.

3 freshmen guards on the roster? We don't even have 3 Freshmen on the roster.

“@NYPost_Brazille: Was going over numbers, NYC/LI has produced 11 All-Americans since Omar Cook picked St. John's in 2000. None have gone there ...”

“@NYPost_Brazille: Isaiah Whitehead could be the first in 13 years. Been told he will go to Burger game by a few different people. #sjubb”

“@NYPost_Brazille: That's in no way a knock on current staff at St. John's. They've recruited very well. Last NYC All-American was Jayvaughn Pinkston in 2000.”

Lance?

I have been out of the country and not following this Board of late.

I would appreciate if someone would summarize where St.John's is with Whitehead. Has he committed yet, or is it merely speculation? If he hasn't yet committed has he scheduled an announcement?

Thanks.

If you zoom even more, you'll see three LOIs -- Whitehead, Okafor, and Alexander. And McCullough in the far distance talking to Chiles about decommitting.
