Isaiah Whitehead, SG (Seton Hall verbal)

@TheBBallDiary: Quick thought. Isaiah Whitehead & Kaleb Joseph has Syracuse on their list. If one picks Syracuse first don't expect the other to pick it too

I assume they are smart enough to know this, so if either wanted Syracuse as their top school, why doesn't one of them verbal?

I don't think Whitehead is really sold on Syracuse yet. They've been heavy front runners throughout his recruitment and yet he has yet to commit to them and Kaleb Joseph is most likely to commit to
Cuse before hand.

If Minnesota fails to get Jaquan Newton or gets a commitment from Rashad Vaughn, I would then think we'd be the favorites along with UCLA

Forget all the combinations. He comes here if he wants to stay home. It does not appear at this point he wants to. Hopefully that changes.

Wonder if reason Louisville is out is that maybe Rick backed off to give his son a better chance to land him. Louisville already loaded.

If you can't go to Syracuse, Minnesota has the same great weather.

Louisville and Whitehead lost their mutual interest whenever Lyle committed to Louisville around a month ago.

Nike Skills Academy.

This Louisville commit sounds awfully similar to IW:

Quentin Snider, Class of 2014 (Ballard/Louisville, KY): A future Louisville Cardinal, Snider is an offensive threat on the floor. With a jump-shot that extends 20+ feet, Snider’s change of speed, change of direction ability created problems for opposing defenders. The combo-guard excelled around the rim as well, finishing with either hand on a consistent basis. Snider’s high basketball IQ was utilized as the lead guard, drawing multiple defenders and finding the open teammate for the easy score.

And here's IW:

Isaiah Whitehead, Class of 2014 (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY): A highly-touted guard, Whitehead’s offensive arsenal was on full display throughout the day. At 6-4, 195 lbs., the rising senior proved capable of scoring in various fashions. With an improved perimeter jump-shot, the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim while finishing with contact, Whitehead is a threat on the offensive end of the floor. On defense, the rising senior’s athleticism allows for blocked-shot opportunities, as seen once again on Wednesday.

There's still one or two too many top guards committed there for others to give them serious consideration.

Reigning national champions?

Keep thinking that.

@FinkelsteinNERR: Isaiah Whitehead, Kaleb Joseph, & Ja'Quan Newton - how they impact each other now that they've all cut their listshttp://t.co/ifgfO4apVy

Anybody have ESPN insider?

I fell asleep halfway thru reading it. Saw Cuse mentioned too many times for one sitting.

Jaquan Newton is heading to Miami per multiple reports. Which should mean that Minnesota's chances of landing Whitehead have been crushed since they were only going to go there as a package deal

Miami recruiting is questionable.

Fwiw

“@Joshua_Newman: Whitehead told me Syracuse, Arizona, UCLA, Minnesota are the schools he's considering, also tossed Miami in there as well”
