Just a question? Is it me or perhaps there is a reason . Looking over a few dozen top players
.they list .the top programs not many have us on their list Is it that coach .just goes after those .he feels he has a shot at signing Would have thought we would be on more players list

I think in this class (2014), coach is going after those he feels he can land. If you look at the 2015 class, we're in a lot more top players lists.

Does anyone else get the feeling that coach has eased on recruiting IW because we have a solid chance of landing Jared Terrell?

He won't waste time and resources, if he truly feels there isn't a chance to land a player.

I gather we're still in the running. But things can change (sometimes, swiftly) in recruiting. Actually, it wouldn't be a surprise if the solid chance of landing Terrell has caused Lavin to ease up off the gas when it comes to Whitehead.

Maybe, there is also the chance he feels he has a good shot with Okonoboh, and placing more time and energy on him out in Vegas.

We'll have a better idea on a few of these things going into next month.

Maybe coach is going hard for a Terrell,Abu package deal. As moch as I would like to get Whitehead, Id rather have the package deal.

As, much as I'd love to have Whitehead.... If I were asked today who I would like, considering I can ONLY pick 3 players (since, that is our current scholarship situation), to nab in the '14 class.... It would be Abu, Terrell, and Okonoboh.

If not Okonoboh, then it would be Chukwu. Most of all, I want Abu.

I agree with you. Those are the same 3 players that I want.

MJ, always value your opinion and thanks always for the great info (SJU98alum and Paltz as well).. is Terell a 2/Abu a 4/Goodluck a 5?

Appreciate it, SI!

Terrell is a 2 through and through. Handle isn't solid enough for the 1.

Abu would be able to play 3 positions, IMO, once he gets to college. He's a solidly, built 6'8" kid who can face up or play with his back to the basket. He can also put it on the floor and occasionally, hit shots behind the arc.

Okonoboh seems to be (per videos) one of those kids who can 'get away' with playing the 4 and 5 in college. I'm not sure about our chances with him, so I'm not as confident in landing him, as I am when it comes to Abu and Terrell.

Like I stated earlier.... I'd take Chukwu (along, with Abu and Terrell), and would be very happy about the haul. We seem to get involved with kids whose play is ascending.

Isaiah plays high school ball not too far from our campus, not really a big deal that we missed some of his AAU games especially considering he is more of a luxury then a need. I'm also not sure that coach has "eased" his recruiting on him

@RyanJamesMN: Juice All Stars up 61-52 on DC Assault with 6min. Syracuse, St Johns, full UCONN staff, Cincy, amongst those watching Whitehead and others.

Lavin getting plenty mileage. James also with the faux pas.

With Steve Lavin of UCLA, St Johns, Syracuse, and a full UCONN staff watching Isaiah Whitehead's day looks about over. #Fab48 77-74

Correction....

Oops, Steve Alford of UCLA was watching Isaiah Whitehead, not Steve Lavin. Sorry, it's early

MJ, Yesterday with Lavin in NY this same guy noted he was looking at a Cali PG. Credibility problem here!

I just saw it.... He claimed Lavin was watching Jordan McLaughlin yesterday afternoon. It would've been possible for Lavin to be in Vegas earlier yesterday before heading to New Jersey, but Lavin was definitely in New Jersey during the time of that particular tweet.

Like you stated, Paultz.... Credibility issue.
