I remember a few legendary coaches saying how much more they learned from loses early in their careers than from wins.

If that's the case our staff just reached Mensa status

Realize we are going to have many ups and downs...but, we should not lose to a team like this by 20...and keep in mind, the guys who killed us were not seasoned upper classmen...they were sophs...poor performance all around including the staff...we had a height advantage and never used it...we left Sima on a guy roaming the perimeter knocking down threes...we would have been better off in a zone...and I still say Johnson's play is maddening...he doesnt act like a grad senior on the floor..just hoists shots and provides zero leadership..we never work for an easy shot...

Got home from work and watched the game on delay. Stopped watching with about 10 mins left. Ugly ugly ugly. Off to see Star Wars tonight. Hope it helps me forget about this debacle.

Taped the game to go see Star Wars. Not going to watch it now but the movie was great. How was Mussini today? I know I got ripped when I said I didn't think he was a high division one player at this point.

Anyone scouting tonight's debacle should see we are a better team against a zone. incarnate's man to man defense stopped Mussini completely, obviously we need his scoring. Against the zone we show more patience and less dribbling. Good coaching on their part. I thought Mullin should have continued feeding Sima in the low post. Even after they doubled him someone had to be open. Incarnate played as a team, surprisingly Mullins' didn't.

I decided to watch the tape. They played them even for sixteen minutes. The next twenty four must get ugly fast.

I think we should all agree to just move on from this. As Chief Wiggum would say "nothing to see here, nothing to see here, oh god a terrible plane crash everyone come look."
Look once and then move on.

Don't mind continuing to feed Sima as you suggest as long as it is not with the ball. Very weak with the ball. If someone opens a door somewhere in Carnesecca the draft will knock the ball out of his hands.

Ellison should buy a ticket.

HOPE WE ARE ALL DOWN FROM THE CLOUDS. WE ARE WHAT WE ARE THIS YR.
WHY NOT BOX GREEN FROM THE BEGINNING?
Can't get angry Our time will come but not this yr

Seriously?? The man never scored 15 points in a game before!! The PLAYERS did not come to play tonight; it starts with effort and commitment from the players. Coaches can only do so much and that so much is much, much less than many think. Basketball is a fast, instinctive, reactive game not a chess match. Where was our offensive rebounding, a largely effort, hustle stat? This team can play decent ball but not when the effort is not there. One last point, we missed Balamou big time, he is the only player we have who can break down a man defense and make it rotate. Weird to say but true.

agree about felix also because he always brings energy and effort

Does anyone really think recruiting is significantly affected by this year's team? Players are transferring en masse all over the nation basically over one issue and one issue only - playing time!!! Yes, we stunk last night, yes, we looked great against Syracuse - so using this line of reasoning players were knocking down our doors last week and this week we can't give away free food! Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. I know some of it is venting but man, some of it is just ridiculous. We have a very inexperienced team with NO quickness, seemingly devoid of any real leadership from Johnson and Mvouika; any coach and real player knows that leadership within the players on a team is as or more important than leadership from the coaches. Everyone expected this year to be tough, up but mostly down and now that it's here we get comments about the worst loss in history and no recruits will come here (exaggerating a bit.) Last night would not even make my Top 25 of worst losses and any recruit worth his salt and seriously considering SJU would be drooling at the playing time available here.

I'm curious why so many are freaking out over some of these losses. We are what we are this year. This game had let down and hangover written all over it. Our guys were so pumped for the cuse game at the garden. I was hoping for no let down but it happens all the time. To experienced teams as well and we are filled with freshmen.
Plus chemistry again was affected with balamou out and Ellison back for his first game in awhile. This team will upset a few teams and they will also upset some of us this year. But they are what they are. A bunch of freshmen and transfers learning to play on the fly with each other.
Enjoy the bumpy ride this year. I think we have a few more upset wins in us as I know we have a few more blow out losses in us.
