I thought that Repole had absented himself at the beginning in a dispute with the school. After his interview with the scholarship hostage on WFAN.

Actually I think he's still estranged from the program so his money wasn't a factor. The fact that he blew up the administration and exposed their meddling and incompetence as it related to the athletic department on a fairly major stage, however, seemed to get the admin to back away and let the person they paid to run the department do his job, one which they are painfully ill suited to do.

Other people with money became a factor after he embarrassed the crap out of the entire school. Notice how Oliva hasn't made a peep since? If the meddling continued, I think Cragg walks and no CMA.

OK - I must have been listening to a different interview. During the one I was listening to, Mike was giddy over the way Repole trashed the school. He egged him on for about 20 minutes until both of them were done with burning down the place.

Mike egged him on and relished in it. The reason he came on had nothing to do with horse racing (although both were more than qualified to discuss as Mike likes the ponies and actually evidently knows something about it and Repole owns several) but to trash the way the coaching search was being done.

He might have tried to change the discussion but that was well after the shot and message had been delivered.
