Lebron must have already signed off for it to come out. He is the GM.
 
Clearly the wildest off season in college hoops history, some great publicity, but some challenges which could destroy the game as we knew it.

The thing with the NBA is you can always go back to college. If I were him, I'd rather draw up plays for Lebron/AD and see through what Hurley can do in LA. He can get paid a ton of money. Worst case, he comes back to college as a top candidate anyway. Don't think he'd be going the mid-major route either way at this point.

Also think Murray is part of the reason LAL is so invested in Hurley.

NBA is pick & roll offensive game & ironically Murray has motivated Danny to install a much more ball movement approach.

As a SJU fan the game was gone a long time ago considering the complete ineptitude of the hires and the overall state of the program since Looie retired.
 
Again, this would not even be a discussion if Lebron had not already approved of Hurley. He is the GM.

All jokes aside, if you are Hurley, you can take this job and build generational wealth. Strike while the iron is hot.

If things do not work out in LA, he will have zero trouble finding another college coaching job.

It's why as a Knicks fan I was rooting for him to take the Nets job earlier this year.
 
Hurley to lakers . Not surprised but pitino went to nba came back. I love how people who hated Hurley are saying oh he goes and in a few years Rick retires he wants back we get him . lol no thanks.

True. But this is a roster he’s help build and a place he’s helped win big. If a head college job is what he wants, a better college opportunity would be hard to come by. I’m sure Hurley would want him. And I’m not sure uconn would turn to the assistants. But my point is uconn has these two guys that everyone is so surprised they’ve been able to hold on to, to turn to in a late game situation like this would be.

Can you think of a power conference coach that would make sense to bolt to UConn this late? Of course they would pay, but others do too and rosters are mostly set.
 
Hurley does not strike me as the type who'd have any ability to coddle and pamper the modern day NBA player.
