I guess depending on where you are coming from I personally find Emerald the best which is right off the Cross Island but now I can go from Huntington to UBS on the LIRR directly for less than $13 #nobrainerforme
...and you can drink as many of the $20 IPA's as you want!!! 😜

This game should have been at Carnesecca

yes I was surprised at how many empty seats at the Xavier game
It's been like that for a long time, a lot of season ticket holders don't come to CA games. Mostly big donors who have the chairback seats at or near center court. It doesn't present a good image on TV when you have BE games at CA and the cameras show those vacancies.

I know they don't want to PO the money guys, but perhaps they can have two season tix packages: Full package including games at MSG and CA and an MSG package only. The big $ donors will still get priority seating with either package. I'm sure those empty seats will be taken, especially for BE games.

What they should do is make it easy for those ticket holders who do not plan to attend to donate their tickets back to the school, who can pass them along to students. Or known SJU fans.

They don't do that anymore? They used to before the covid debacle.

Respectfully, there was more than a “slight rise” in attendance under Mullin.

In Mullin’s final year, attendance for our MSG games averaged 16,498, by far the highest levels since Lou coached. (Before Mullin average Garden attendance for SJ games was 10,750.)
Mullins final year was also the year we had a shot at making the Tourney and got a play-in bid. Winning helps.

what's the story on parking???? Thanks in advance
hearing it's going to be expensive - I'd avoid driving and parking in a lot if possible. Honestly gonna be a lot cheaper to park in the residential neighborhood near by and calling a uber

For the Kansas game two years ago, I think parking was $40 maybe $50. It's simply offensive and i don't blame anyone for not parking in there and giving them $ at that price. I certainly won't be again.

I think what happens is the big$ guys are only buying complete packages out of loyalty and to guarantee primo seating locations at MSG. If they reassured them that their red/white levels and MSG seats would still apply with only MSG packages maybe they would opt out of CA.

That's too much trouble for them. There's a difference between some of them who look upon it as a donation and perhaps also as a business entertainment thing at MSG.

I did not get to may games in the mid 80s as I was completely reliant on an adult to bring me. So, maybe twice a year. (Luckily for the biggest games) But, since the late 80s on, my recollection is that the biggest crowds typically were after the holidays once football season ended.

Parking will be about $40. I’m not defending, and rather pay nothing, but always find the UBS parking commentary puzzling. Sure it’s free at CA but how do people get to MSG? For Mrs IDRAFT and myself it’s $9 just to park at the LIRR and then I forget the LIRR price but all-in is about $40. A family of four would be more. Are their cheap garages in Manhattan I’m not aware of? If so I guess the midtown tunnel tolls are avoided by going through the 59th street bridge?

And I realize I’m using Long Island based fans as an example but they seem to be the ones complaining. I don’t feel the costs to commute to MSG are ever raised as an issue. They seem at best comparable.

Its odd to me.

That’s a very fair point and people should definitely look at the LIRR if it’s just you and another person etc. heck just go to mineola and park and the train probably less than 10 minutes to ubs
