Hire Rick Pitino!

Let Phil Mushnick and Mike Vaccaro write what they want, we need a proven Coach who wins! Not another GM, or recruiter, or former legend with no HC experience. Rick Pitino is no saint, but right now nothing can be proven about his knowledge of the Louisville scandal and he is adamant about his innocence. He's offering phone recordings to programs and willing to answer questions. He is a catholic and this is a catholic school, forgiveness is paramount. Anything outside of the hookers and knowledge of players payment can be argued forgivable.

It's clear the current staff is in over its head. The 2018 class that was supposed to be huge is very disappointing at best, and no high school kids are coming anymore, although were having success with football players. Greg St. Jean is worse than Norm at X's and O's, Mitch Richmond does nothing, while Mullin has a huge ego (except about his winning percentage apparently).

This program has gone down the drain and needs a major change. Syracuse has been mediocre yet still been to the sweet 16 two of three years, while SJU come next season will have not made our conference tournament semi-finals in 19 years(since 2000)! Again Rick Pitino is not a white knight, but if we listen to his side of the story, consider the recordings he offers, and set an expected precedence for conduct. He can deliver! Can you imagine – No shot clock violations out of a timeout, McDonalds All Americans committing, BE tournament Friday night appearances, and gasp Final Fours!!! BRING IN RICK!

This where I disagree. Why isn't meeting the testosterone needs of our student athletes not a forgivable offense?
Every coach that has ever coached has known about payments to players!
We delayed the building of dorms in Jamaica for the sole reason of being able to pay players. Screw the other 18,000 students that complained about no campus life!
As for Slick Rick, he is going to be too busy fighting for every $million that Louisville owes him. He won't have time to coach.;) :p

Disregarding all else, banging his mistress on a table at a restaurant wouldn't be a deal breaker for a Catholic university?

What does Catholic have anything to do with banging anyone on a table in a restaurant? What anybody does on their leisure time is their business.;)
Until a couple of hundred years ago even the Popes had mistresses.
Besides, I think Catholics are now a minority at St. John's and our former President wasn't exactly a saint.
I can't believe I am actually wasting my time on this thread! My mistress is waiting for me at the Olive Garden.

Now that would be something even I would get on board with getting rid of Mullin for. Never going to happen though so... We are Chris Mullin!

Was going to comment that she's waiting for you to feed her the endless shrimp, but Google tells me that's Red Lobster, So pretend I said something about a small variety of pasta instead.

You guys make jokes, but I’m serious. This can happen, he can right the ship and lead or program back from dark ages. We along with DePaul are laughing stock of Big East.

Of course he could right the ship -- he's one of the greatest coaches (and cheaters) of all time. But it's never going to happen.

As long as they weren't using any birth control devices.

I thought the deed was done ‘under the table’, but why quibble!

That's cruel ... but very funny.

I'mon board that makes our program produce more wins. But no way Mullin gives up his power.PITINO would over shadow him
