Heron

We can definitely still win, but taking Heron out is huge. Without Heron they will just double Ponds and make other players beat us. That's the recipe for our losses. Saving grace is that X's defense sucks but we will see. Clark and Ponds need to be able to have great shooting nights if we are to win this.
Maybe Heron surprises us after all. If not, let’s win at raucous CA without him.
Mullin is unflappable in these situations, saying simply, "Injuries are a part of the game and always have been. We go with what we've got"

I once asked Lavin, in Charlotte, about D'Angelo's shoulder injury and he went into a 5 minutes diatribe about how his injury hurts their chances, how Sampson leaving hurt them, and what a good team they'd be if they had Harkness and if Obekpa hadn't been suspended. He may as well said, we have no chance please don't fire me.

Mullin's unflappable style is both his best and worst asset, IMO. He keeps the team together during tough times, which is important, but I think times might not be as tough sometimes, if he voiced concern. Or even if, during a game we're losing, he shook things up a bit.

Someone or more likely two bench players will have to step up. Heron playing three or four days in a row in the big east tournament or two games in three days in the NCAA seems out of the question.

Hope all the X players watch Heron warm up.

They were both right.

Hopefully, the positive will be further improvement and development of the bench. If we can get steady modest production here on out, that will help us in the Tourney and beyond.

Stating the obvious, Ponds & Figgy will both need to have huge games tonight. Hopefully, Keita can build upon his solid game vs The Hall, as well.

One game at a time. Hopefully we can win tonight and give Heron a little more rest.

Does Ponds play Walt Frazier whose scored 36 points and had 19 assists in the "Willis Reed" game?

If Heron doesn't play, maybe coach presses the entire game, our team is filled with athletes and their guard are turnover prone, that would defiantly give us the best chance to win tonight

Lakers on the ropes after the first quarter, game all but over at the half, any hopes dashed by the end of the third.

Quality free throw shooting by Wilt in a big spot, makes Shaq look like Rick Barry

I still remember listening to that Knicks game 7 in the Frontier Palace on Utopia Pkwy at the age of 17. Those were the days.

Looking at the box score thinking instead of Clyde being MVP it should have gone to Nate Bowman who chipped in with 6 points.

FWIW worst part of the game for me wasn’t even the game it was the handshake line and seeing Heron with a very bad and noticeable limp. Don’t see how he plays Sunday to be honest

Yes......he did not look okay.

Sounds like he probably sits Sunday and maybe comes back the following Saturday in our last game or just save him for BET.

The Cracker Jacks company forgot to put a decoder ring in the last box I got from the store. Can you please translate what your comment means?
