Its still not really impressive but I do think clark is rebounding better this year. Figgy, Heron, and Simon are all way above average rebounders for their size so they take a bunch from him. I will say him shooting 3s should have little impact on his overall rebounding numbers. Good offensive rebounders might get 2 a game. If his one focus was to keep their biggest guy off the boards that would be ideal.
Clark has taken 2nd most 3's on team and third most shots.
Clark is shooting 29% from three and incredibly 29% overall.
Ponds, Heron, LJ, Simon and Dixon meanwhile are all shooting between 48% to 57%.
Basically there are at least 3 better options so it is actually inexcusable for Clark to keep firing away when he is not hitting.
Marvin has obviously not started well this year from beyond the line, but let's please remember that he shot 41% from there last season. Also, if he is out there beyond the line with the other teams big guarding him, it clears up traffic in the lane for our slashers and for offensive rebounds.

He has to mix things up. Can't just camp out there and fire away

I honestly feel that Marvin’s shooting isn’t quite as good this year because he’s had to bang more in the post. What I wish Marvin would do is more like Charles Minlend did, working for midrange jumpers a lot. I think they have some similarities..

He has not banged with anyone.
I like Marvin Clark but has not played well at all. He will shoot better but he can't just sit outside. Has to go stronger to hoop to and not just flip up layups.
If we face a committed 2 - 3 zone, Marvin at the foul line might do a lot of damage.
Give me Ponds, Heron, LJ, or Simon in that spot before Clark IMO. Can’t remember Clark hitting a midrange jumper and he’s not nearly the playmaker any of them are. Ponds, for his size especially, is unbelievable in the middle of the zone.

There isn't a team in the country that could do more damage from the middle of the zone than us this year.

I agree Clark is an awful look in the middle. Bury him in a corner. Let Heron, Ponds, and Simon take turns in middle. Ponds is good for two quick baskets there to start of any zone switch. He'll just catch them so off guard with his skill level.
