Gathers is the one who bothers me the most, because of the commitment (unlike others who we were there in the end for, but lost out). Precisely what we've needed the past few years, and as others mentioned a 4 year guy. Had Lavin not gotten ill, Gathers would have been a Johnnie. Unfortunately, I think a lot of good things "would have been" had our prior coach not come down with that horrible disease.
Even with the injury to Keith Hornsby, Brandon Sampson barely played in a loss last night. Out of the gate BS played well, but appears to be a player Coach Jones has lost trust in. All in all, it will be interesting if BS hangs around. He certainly should see decent PT at LSU next year, but is that enough? We'll see.

That program makes ours look like a top 10 team. Not only are they just as bad as us (but somehow beat Maryland), they are suspending players left and right. It's also funny that 2 of those suspended players were Lavin recruits that we "missed out on." I have a feeling little Pitino might be looking for a new job soon.
