Guys We Missed Out On

Per Rothstein
Arizona freshman Rawle Alkins has been academically cleared by the NCAA, multiple sources told @CBSSports.

So it seems that the rumor floating around on this board about him not going to be eligible and that his people (former coach and handlers) were hiding something about his eligibility turns out to be just that at best.

Terrance Ferguson who committed to Alabama, only to flip to Arizona in April after being "courted" by Mr. Slice has apparently flipped again and has decided to skip college and take his 5* talent overseas.

Thanks Otis but that was posted here over a month ago under the Ferguson thread in the 2016 Recruiting Section.

I never understood why during his recruitment some folks considered Diallo a possible one and done type player. From what I've seen he seems to do a good job catching lobs but like you guys have said the rest of his offensive game is put-backs and running the floor. I think he'll do well at Kansas though. He has such an unbelievable motor and outstanding physical ability that he'll fill the stat sheet (blocks, steals, rebounds, hustle stats) but he doesn't read as an instant star to me. Seems like a larger version of what Yakwe will hopefully be for us.

I know Diallo himself thought that, and his advisors, but not sure any fans ever thought that, especially here. His motor alone will likely make him pro money someday, but not any time soon.

As for Sampson, I had him penciled in for about 9 ppg down there tops so he's around that mark, whereas here he could have been up around 12-14. But he made his choice to be home.

He's apparently a good kid, but guards with his talent are not that rare, so I'm not sure why certain people here were in such an uproar. I'm quite happy with Ponds, who actually wants to be here, so that's pretty much where I stand with Sampson.

I stand with you

Brandon played over 13 minutes a game , shot 26% from 3 , 32% overall and averaged 4 points a game. No guarantees but I would rather have any of Ponds, Richard or Bashir.
Best of luck to Brandon but even Mussini and Ellison
May prove to be better players.
