@ MCN, that's actually a really good comparison. I was comparing him in my mind to Willie Glass, but I think yours could be better.

Make no mistake, Yakwe is a far better athlete than Minlend. He's longer and taller too. I'd just like to see him develop efficient offense inside the arc. Minlend was a good close to midrange scorer, even out to three. If Yakwe can get that midrange going, as well as crafty around the basket, he can be real good.
I'm watching this LSU/Oklahoma game. 12 minutes into the first half, no Brandon Sampson
Diallo getting PT against Kentucky. Self said he had a "great practice yesterday."
the Kentucky vs kansas game should have been a matchup against two top ten kids in Diallo and Labissere and it ends up they will be lucky to play a combined 10 minutes.
Actually when Lavin heard Self say Dialllo had a great practice he told him if he had any redshirts that had a great practice he should immediately insert them into the starting line-up and burn a year of their eligibility.Diallo getting PT against Kentucky. Very Lavinesque.

Diallo, in fact, did play 10 minutes. Ended up with same stats he had at the end of the first half: 2 points, 3 rebounds, which leads me to ask if he saw any time in the second half (which I missed until the very end plus the OT).
Meanwhile, LSU's Sampson was a DNP against Oklahoma. Unless he's injured, he's gotta be frustrated with his role.
I think Diallo and Sampson posts are rapidly approaching needing to be shifted to a thread titled "Guys We Apparently Didn't Miss Out On After All"

Diallo did get a couple of minutes in the 2nd half of a great very entertaining game.
Briscoe made hist first four free throws an then went 2 for 8 from the line the rest of the game and is shooting like 40% from the line. Kansas bricked a bunch too.
Diallo and Sampson are not seeing a lot of time but they are playing for ranked teams that have plenty of options. Diallo is probably is a disappointment but does not mean he won't turn out to be the player everyone expects in the long run.
