Guys on Matt’s Radar

Maybe Mullin will hire old school Redmen as an addition to the staff. This way we get the best of both worldsLOL.

I'll wait till it plays out before dumping on this staff. We just finished running the last staff out of town. If this one does not get it done I am all for you and Johnny Fan taking over the helm.
JohnnyFan as the winner of this year's redmen.com Tourney Challenge has had more success in the NCAA Tournament than our last 5 coaches combined.

These guys needed something to get going. We almost had old school applying for Mullin's job

Why ruin it?
Coaching seems pretty easy to me.

Have one guy do the X&Os, I don't want to pay for 2 recruiters, so I'll have one guy do the whole s* load and he'll do a bang up job get 3 sit-out transfers. While I'm home or at the beach or at the ice palor for the summer.

Listen the 2 sit-out transfers I was pissed at, but decided to not bitch, but now Paul said 3???????
Nah, I can't stay stuck on shutup after hearing that.

How can we possible have depth with 2 or 3 freaking sit-outs every year?
I don't know how others say it's ok mullin cant do and wrong, that isn't a winning way to do things.
Again, I wish we kept slice. You can't win with how Matt is recruit, sorry.
If I seen that we had an experienced coach to help him out during in game situations. If we had more then one recruiter recruiting or atleast Chris himself recruiting, maybe if I seen him on campus when a talented big man grad transfer is taking a visit to SJU. Just maybe I'd see that he's going all out.
Maybe even though they didn't do anything the first 3 years, I'd see that he's cares and I'd be quiet.

What I'm seeing now is maybe he doesn't care.

Tell you what, I'm gonna take a break to cool off, I'll be back May 30th to see what Ponds decides.
Lets see if there is any changers to the staff by then. I doubt there will be because Mullin does it his way.
Everyone on here knows the staff needs a shakeup, his most loyal supporters do too. So every one knows it but a HOF former player doesn't???
If no changers are made then what does that tell you?

Mississippi State losing pair to transfer: Xavian Stapleton will be a grad transfer & Eli Wright also leaving. Will be interesting to see if Howland can get Bulldogs to NCAAs in Year 4. Rick Ray got fired after three years and having to clean up mess left by Rick Stansbury.

Eli Wright on his radar fwiw

Hey north, if no changers are made, and we have 15 wins next season with no NCAA or NIT, I really want you to enjoy next season. I mean Mullin is still the coach, that's all that matters right? So please enjoy it north.

Bench player with mediocre numbers. I'm sure Matt will see that eventually but I prefer he gets more bigs on his radar than average bench players who would eat up a scholarship for a year. Is the Albany kid that is a shooter still on his radar?

Kassoum Yakwe was a 4 star too and like Kassoum Wright was playing major minutes off the bench until he was "written off". His rapid reduction in minutes was the same message Mullin sent Yakwe.

If you are referring to Girard, St. Jean was handling that some time ago. Nothing much developed for whatever reason.

Hi Paultz. I think '72 may be referring t Joe Cremo--who seems to be highly pursued by other high-majors.

Wright is a friend of Sedee Keita and teammate at some dicey prep school

And FWIW menchies is yogurt, not ice cream.

Femi O did have short visit and nothing to note one way or the other apparently. Owens’ decision this week directly impacts this situation right or wrong.

Puzzled by Matt possibly pursuing MSU kid, Eli Wright. Perhaps the Auburn transfer Mitchell, may not be in the cards. Lastly Trey Porter is a tough get and wonder if Maryland is in driver’s seat? Just my gut, although this stuff can change quickly.

Caraher visit is this week.

Pursuit of a Juco big seems unlikely I hear

Per Rothstein
Houston Baptist transfer David Caraher tells me he's considering Nevada, Ole Miss, Santa Clara, Rice, and St. John's. Visits St. John's on Friday. #SJUBB

Zach B
St. John's assistant Matt Abdelmassih met with graduate transfer Femi Olujobi yesterday. A visit is likely. Plan is to take one immediately eligible big and two sit-out transfers right now. #sub

Can’t sugar coat this. The recruiting this Spring 18 has been abysmal & does not appear we get any “fresh troops” of consequence.

I would think that 2 grad transfer bigs would be better but one and two sit outs still gives us an 11 player roster for next season. That only works if the staff thinks that they are going to get more out of Diakite and or Roberts than anyone on here realizes.
