That might be the case, but CMA gave Greg, Marcellus and Roberts the chance they didn’t get with Mullin. And, other than Roberts, I don’t think Greg or Earlington, should have a complaint base on PT, freedom and development. If they simply want an opportunity to be a focal point, then transferring is probably a good decision.Monte post=428891 said:billthetruth post=428866 said:MJDinkins post=428859 said:Although, it's not a good look, I'm not gonna quickly jump to conclusions considering the amount of players transferring in college basketball.Rehobie post=428856 said:I don’t get it. All these guys leaving. At what point does CMA accept responsibility?
Maybe he isn’t the kind old fatherly guy we have been led to believe.
Let's see what happens when the smoke clears which is similarly to what billthetruth alluded to above.
Maybe just maybe some of these guys are not made for the tough practices that CMA runs and what is expected from them on a daily basis. Ewing seems to run his program with the old school JT rules and similar intense daily practices. Some guys are just not cut out for strict rules. If that is case I am glad we are bringing in 7 new guys. Maybe we will not get killed by DePaul at home again with NCAA tournament on the line.
There is a reason CMA has never had a losing season and why he will not next year when everything settles
Times are changing Bill. The old way of doing things is no more. Like with any business, those who adapt will succeed, and those who don't will be gone. I said from the beginning that I don't care how CMA gets it done, just so long as he gets it done. CMA's blueprint for success(tough love, developing players over time, 40 minutes of hell, etc) may not work in the new era of college basketball. Time will tell if he can adapt.
Great members of our program...Both will be missed...but, next man up...CMA will find them
