Hired a Agent .  I guess we will learn more at 3 pm .  In my opinion , there is no way to value  Greg’s leaving as anything but , a negative .  It’s a possibility that a lot of our Players , especially those not from NY. , asked themselves” do I want to spend another dreary , Cold , Covid Winter in Jamaica , NY  in a Dormitory that probably was very restricted on comings and going’s .  Or , would I rather be in the Sunshine in Gainesville , Florida  on a beautiful Campus with outdoor access for the whole 12 months . Plus , a chance to play more with all the Florida defections ?   I also thinkGreg  and rightly so , wondering why Wusu was getting late Game minutes and he was on the Bench watching .  It happened more than a few times and it was puzzling .   I hope CMA has more ammunition in the tank than the 2 5 th year additions since far .  In my opinion , he needs to bring in a near elite player to improve upon the Roster for next season . We will see .

If I’m not mistaken that is Greg and his girlfriend’s (who also goes to SJU) YouTube channel where they have been making videos for a little while now. She posted the same thing saying she surprised Greg with a trip home so I don’t think it’s about committing.

I heard he is 6’ 8” but doesn’t play inside,   There is also a story out there that he refused to go into a game because the last shot wasn’t designed for him. Based on the jealousy rumors that supposedly happened here and the fact that our five star Pinzon will play in front of him, I can see him and Anderson clashing so I’d pass.

First off Florida just got a commitment from one of the best transfer guards on the market UMKC Brandon McKissic.

very disappointed he left. I can’t stress it enough. We all liked him in every respect, both as a student, as an athlete, as a team leader, as an example to his teammates , especially with his initiative with the scholarship this season, and he comes from a great loving and supportive family. And of course we all liked his supportive dads posts. He was the ideal student athlete if there ever was one. 
i have great memories of Greg and wish his health would have been better at SJU and that he would have played more and perhaps he would still be here. I can only wish him the very best of success in all of his future endeavours, both during and after college. 
i hope for his sake he makes a very good selection of his future school. So sorry to see this classy kid depart.

I am of the opinion that CMA playing Wusu at crunch time in manygames was a impetus for Williams and Earlington to transfer out .  Wusu has potential in front of him but , him playing while Williams and Earlington watched was often disastrous . The Butler game and others  . I thought he kind of faded as the BE season took over . Lots of turnovers , fouls , especially wild charges , poor foul shooting and too many 3’s . In other words , he played like a freshman over his head .  Did  CMA favor him ? For sure . 

Wusu also did a lot of really good things down the stretch. For all we know, CMA knew Williams and Earlington were on the way out. After all, those were not players he recruited. Wusu was. 

I don't think it was any of that and I don't think CMA favored Wusu.  If he played the favorites game, Moore wouldn't have played at all and Toro would have played big minutes, because CMA liked Toro a lot.

People like to play revisionist history, we can pull up hundreds of posts over the past 2 years of people complaining about Williams not being consistent and him disappearing during games.  We can also pull a lot similar posts of people complaining about Earlington's shot selection and him not showing up a lot as well.  I can remember people complaining about Wusu's turnovers at times, but I can't recall a post of anyone ever complaining about Wusu not showing up and giving 100%.  That's why he closed games, plain and simple, it has nothing to do with him being a coaches favorite or CMA sensed other guys would leave, he's trying to win games, he's not worried about the rest of that stuff.
