Easy to say now, and I didn’t say it ahead of time but this was not smart scheduling. Folks I talked to yesterday from Tennessee were very surprised we had a game this morning. I am not the type to project the future based on the past, or honestly to project it at all. Except to say it is November.
There was no energy in the building, only a fraction of the SJU fans that were there for the first two games attended. We couldn’t cheer even when we wanted to as Atlantis was constantly blaring music at levels we could not exceed.
And they played badly, they deserved to lose, and they lost. Even if they had won it felt like a waste of money when those of us down here could have been at the beach. A lesson learned.
The season will continue.

Pitino not holding him accountable for literally anything is just unacceptable. He’s also very clearly huffing and puffing his way through all of these games
I assumed the Pitino factor would turn these 1-2 possession losses into wins. It hasn't happened, but I still think it will.

How could Georgia have “wanted it more”? This team has proven nothing to date except that they can beat way weaker teams. And for all the drama Queens out there, no one is turning on the team we are all a bit disappointed and concerned especially after the rejection from the tourney committee last year. I’m sure as upset we all may be we all hope for a turnaround and much success.

To date I would take Jenkins over Richmond who has been a total BUST!
Substitutions STINK! Dunlap should not have played....period! Withholding Smith could be demoralizing to the kid.
That said, shooting the trey was horrific and Pitino should have brought the offense closer to the basket.
I guarantee you Repole is not happy with his investment thus far! College basketball is now a business and between Pitino's poor game management and a disaster in Richmond, I think coach better have less teaching examples DURING crunch time.
I think they were tired, but then you have to ask Rick why he scheduled this game (let alone a “hard” two hour practice the day before). Atlantis had a women’s tournament right after, so there was no flexibility in moving the game up. It’s inexcusable either way

What do you mean by fine? Where are our signature wins coming from now? Our opportunities are limited now. I don’t know if Creighton will stay ranked as they got beat at home by Nebraska this weekend. Maybe Xavier winds up ranked. But basically you’re talking about UConn and Marquette now that’s it. That’s four games of which we’ll probably have to go 3-1 in now and have 13 or 14 wins in conference to not be on the bubble at the end of the season. That’s a tough hill to climb.

I don't post at all, but appreciate all the knowledge and passion on the board. Graduated in '67, so I have seen a lot of BB...some great teams and some not so good teams. Why is Richmond on the floor in crunch time, why are we not pounding the ball inside to Zuby or isolate Luis to go one on one.

was at an Event during the game... checked the score... saw the low scoring and knew it was prob an ugly game... and was dissapointed.

Exactly what I said. At least the kid is honest. But, the question is , why would they want it more?? Why wouldn’t our guys want it just as much?? This team to me is broken based on that bit of honesty by Mr. Scott.
