Be quiet and enjoy it? Don’t people have the right to express how they feel even though it may disagree with you? I think a fan has a right to be concerned with barely wining a game against a team that has won one other Big East game against a winless Big East team. Especially when it’s the same old story of losing big leads, horrific transition defense and questionable decisions from the sidelines.

Let’s hope with different players we see a different result but unless the staff does a better job adopting to its personnel, I don’t know how much better we get.
10 point favorite and we barely eek out a win against an abominable GT team. I had them -5.5 in a teaser and they couldn't even cover for me. Glad some of you guys are giddy over this win. In most depressing of seasons, I don't share in that giddiness.

Let me reword your last paragraph:
"Let’s hope with different players we see different results but unless the players do a better job adapting to their coaches instructions and game plans, I don’t know how much better we get."

Players that can't follow the game plan and don't play to their strengths while learning to minimize their weaknesses, hurt their team, get reduced minutes or are encouraged to seek NIL deals based on poor performance. As NIL strategies get more analytical, coaches and schools with large NIL will become more selective.

15-12 is disappointing for sure but there have been much more depressing seasons with better players who played together multiple years versus 12 new guys from radically different college basketball programs.
This same group of misfits lost two games by one point to nationally ranked Creighton and Marquette last month. They lost to Providence by 3 points. They lost to nationally ranked Dayton by 7 points in November. They have been competitive in 90% of their games. I've seen far worse veteran St. John's teams pre-NIl to put this rag tag team in the "most depressing " category.

Imagine if lady luck didn't have a hard on for us and we won those close Q1 games and were 19-8. Reach into your deepest fantasy and think what NYC would be saying about 20th ranked St. John's heading for selection Sunday.

Perchance to Dream!
Just don't stumble into your psychiatrist's office because you are depressed and can't sleep because of these losses because a carnival girl named Maya will try to kill you.

One of the best Twilight Zone episodes ever. I am a huge Richard Conte fan (a John Garfield type of actor who was very much underappreciated)

RJs best game tonight I think. Glad to see it. And Dingle looked his most aggressive yet. Sims best minutes were tonight.

That said, I didn’t see much improvement overall versus the Seton Hall game. A win is a win and I’ll take it.

Need to win out. Let’s go boys.

That's a little harsh! They scored 90 points. Poise has nothing to do with not guarding the perimeter for open 3s. Those open 3s made the score look respectable. Missing 4 of 5 free throws didn't help but we are a poor ft team.
The problem is we continue to have to play weak links in the rotation like Alleyne and Traore whose defense has been atrocious. They just don't have lateral quickness😉
The guy who was on three top 25 teams and won a national championship is the weak link on a 9th place Big East team. You are a brilliant basketball mind. Go slam your head in the microwave door a few times.

St. John's fans, please stop complaining after a win. There are plenty of losses to be unhappy after. A sloppy win is like 2 day old apple pie. Yes, it's messy but it tastes a lot better than a shitty loss, so just be quiet and enjoy it.
Also sounds like when classof2010 is at the bar at 4am

It should have read "in A (as opposed to "the")most depressing season", which pretty much negates your entire post.

I’m gonna say in all honesty that more than 50% of our fans thought this game to be a loss before it started. So many were afraid for losing this game.

And once we had the big double digit lead probably 70% thought we were going to lose as has been the script for much of the season. But we held on and won.

Take the positives from the guys who played very well. In a season that has slipped away yet there is a shred of light still on it for something good to happen why not focus on the potential good that can still happen?

Cover or not Vegas is nuts for putting us as a 10 point favorite on the road here. They love us/pitino.

Thank you for your interest in my message. All criticisms are taken seriously but be patient as we process your request.

In a study of 4.billion games between struggling teams and dog turd teams, the conclusion we have reached is you cannot say anything good about the game.

Georgetown vs. SJU is like watching obese people porn. If you are so disgusted, why did you watch?

Silly, don't be Silly. I'm only a chatbot.

The point here Mr. Chatbot is not bout being positive or negative towards the team right now. The point is who do you or anyone else have the right to tell fans how they should feel about a particular performance. Should I say to posters “be quiet and stop being so giddy about a useless win versus a 1and 14 Big East team” because that’s how I may feel? Hell no. (PS…I don’t actually feel that way) The same should hold true for what you said.

We are all fans here, how we express our feelings per the teams performance is our own business. 😎👍

We don't have a single player that can guard someone one on one
They blow by us regularly, our rotations are too slow to react and we give up easy layups time and time again
We foul like crazy because we constantly reach and don't move our feet
We emulate what Walt Frazier used to call the "Matador" defense
In the Voice of Walt Frazier: "Mike, if we played Defense like that under Coach Holzman, he would yank us out of the game so fast we wouldn't know what happened to us; Matador Defense, astounding, compounding and confounding; what are these players taught in practice, confusing, misusing and not amusing, Mike"
