A natural outcome of a quarter century worth of irrelevance for most part.Is it even a St. John’s game if someone here doesn’t say “if we lose this one… it’s same old St. Johns”

Sad but true.A natural outcome of a quarter century worth of irrelevance for most part.
My experience, maturity v youthful talent theory for beating GT, Smith or no Smith per Cooley opening comment
we got to our seats pretty early last night. I saw glover warming up with the rest of the guards. He still seemed to mostly be taking layups with his left hand. But did take a couple jumpers. It seems like he’s close to being fully back. Not sure about Tuesday but we may need himAny chance we get Glover back?
It will also be a half court game. KR does not speed up offense like Scott. A slog. If anyone gets into foul trouble it will get tougher.I think that beating the Hoyas without Smith will be a monumental task especially if Epps plays. He and Mack form a formidable back court that will create problems for a depleted back court. And while Wilcher had some shining moments of play after a very rough game, it has become obvious that with Smith out we really have no back court depth.
Their front court of 6’11 Fielder and Sorber are also quite formidable and will test our interior rebounding and overall play.
Remember, this is a very competitive Georgetown team that blew out Creighton and took Marquette to the wire and while I believe we should be able to grind out yet another win, it will be no easy task.
Glover is a good talent and there is a lot of time left this season for him to turn the corner, but he is too hectic for my liking right now. He was in for a few seconds last night and committed an unnecessary foul.I no think that they’ll be scrappy and the game will be closer than we want. But in the end, I think we will win solidly. We will wear them down. Defensive effort against Sorber like we did against Dixon will
Any chance we get Glover back?
I'm worried that we might lose without smithGuessing we'll be about 10.5 point favs.
Georgetown was rolling until they got the tough draw of having to play Marquette and Conn back to back. Now they get us after losing those two games. Do they bounce back or does their slide continue?
Sorber is legit and they have much more talent than last year but we should be able to exploit their turnover woes. Hoping even without Smith we won't have to sweat this one
How is it not?I better not read anyone call this a must-win game lol.
I agree it is in the sense that if we lose this game, the path to an NCAA bid gets significantly harder. How is it not?
You hold serve and win your home games and go .500 on the road. That's usually the recipe.
If we’re getting technical though, that doesn’t make it a must win. But the term must win has lost all meaning at this pointI agree it is in the sense that if we lose this game, the path to an NCAA bid gets significantly harder.
Is it even a St. John’s game if someone here doesn’t say “if we lose this one… it’s same old St. Johns”
How about a " Must not lose game ? "I better not read anyone call this a must-win game lol.
Not a must win, but lets keep a good thing going, and keep racking up these wins.I better not read anyone call this a must-win game lol.
