Published attendance said : 11,455

Several years ago I was told that the breakpoint for MSG attendance was 7,000 fans; less than 7,000 then St. John’s had to make up the guaranteed base rent.

I am not sure whether with the passing years that attendance of 7,000 is still accurate but StJ’s likely came out whole with MSG attendance above 11,000.

Was at the game today and I like the way Ghostzapper summed it up.....it was not a well played game, but definitely a fun atmosphere and it was nice to come away with the win.

A few thoughts.....

Curbelo is a problem and I really can't understand why he is left out there

Why so few minutes for Stanley in the second half? Wusu kept getting stuck down low with Wahab and GT was killing us with second chance shots.

Primo Spears is a very good player. Sweet pull up jumper.

Georgetown is a really bad team

David Jones could have been helpful this year if he was shown his proper role.

Not saying Kolby King is the answer, but he probably hurts us a lot less than Curbelo.

Curbelo wasn’t bad today.

With that said I said a few games back that King could use up some of Posh and Belo’s minutes.

Guess it depends how many were paid tickets vs. giveaways. Not sure if posted here or twitter that they gave 4-5k tickets to first responders

All good points…I‘ll add the fact that we just don't seem to recognize the importance of tacking on to a lead nor what what it takes…we continue squandering these opportunities to put a game out of reach by doing the opposite of what is required. . .instead of making the defense work by moving the ball, committing to getting down hill to get layups and fouls (things that sap an opponent’s will), we play hero ball, seek heat checks that result in 14 point runs like we saw today

This was a trap game , they had won their first game and we had been blown out by Creighton . I really think
we can build on this . Hope Posh goes to Lourdes >

If we had blown out GT today like I thought we would, I still would have considered it a one-off game like the UCONN game. Reality is, GT is the worst team in the Big East and if nothing else, today showed that we are on a par with them.
If we had Posh, Pinzon and Mathis then we would have blown them out. Don’t you understand Monte??? Lol 😂

Definitely if we had Pinzon 😂
Still have no idea why he did not play. Was suited and looked OK in warm-ups.
Our weakness is in the non-productive backcourt. Even with Posh having a mediocre season we need his experience.
Things could be much worse! We could be Louisville!
I've been disappointed with our lack cohesiveness and on-court leadership but we can still stay in the hunt for a decent seed in the Big East tournament with a win over Seton Hall.
This game is a must win and a payback.

Sprained ankle. Was a game time decision

For those asking about the last game winner in the final seconds, I think it was by Vince Cole in the first game of the Covid season vs. St. Peter's.

I think he scored 5 points in the last 20 seconds of that game, and I think his winning 3 came even later then Storr's did today, though I could be wrong on that.

Teams must be drooling over AJ Storr. Kid is a stud.
Yes he is but considering he is one of the only, other then Curbelo, 4 star players on the team he should look like a stud. Too bad it took Anderson half a season to figure that out as Storr barely played in OOC cupcake games and was buried behind other players of far less ability.

If that happens, CMA gets another extension. So I'm not doing any praying. Look what the GT run did their program.

Exactly, it’s a mixed bag. Even if they win a few more games, one or two they are not supposed to win, Cragg and Shanley may look for any excuse to keep him on tourney bound or not. While I never want the team to lose, ask yourself this, …..If Anderson squeaks by and is allowed to stay, do you really believe things will get better next year or in years to come? It’s been the same crap with this staff year in and year out.

Correct, there was still 7 seconds left after Cole hit his GW.
