I've heard some dumb things on this board over the course of the years, but one of the dumbest has to be the comparison of this win today against the worst team in the big east, to our win against #4 ranked Pitt in 2011.
If that geared to me, all I said was Hardy was last game winner I remember so not sure where you got comparison thing from??

I just returned from the Garden. Not a winning performance by us by any means, but a really exciting win nonetheless. Watching this team try to comeback and miss free throw after free throw is absolutely maddening. Georgetown is obviously not a very good team but we did tighten it up on defense and took it to the rim down the stretch. That made up for an abysmal stretch at the end of the first half that would have definitely lost the game against better competition.

BTW I thought, but was not sure, that Georgetown's last shot would have not counted if it went in. Leaving the Garden the consensus was that it would have counted, but on the Georgetown website they said it would not have counted. I could not find a replay of that shot. Any opinions about whether that last shot got off in time.
Announcers said it would not have counted

And the more success he has on the baseline, the more relaxed he is and those outside shots start falling more.
Mentioned previously, Jones should run baseline and be in foul line..when Soriano is out, he goes to post…he has great skills when he is not dribbling on the perimeter,

Would we have won this game if Posh was playing? I have never seen a team with so many line-up changes. It's like a rubix cube, every time I see a new line-up pattern. I really like the confidence of the freshmen.

Thought the announcers said it wouldn't have counted, but they said a lot of nonsensical stuff today, so who knows.
I just saw the replay (see below). The announcer (Tarik) was wrong. Mazone got the shot off with less than 0.1 seconds left, but it had clearly left his hand when the clock turned to zero. Very poor defense on that play and Mazone should have never gotten a clean look there. I am glad he missed the shot but that should not have happened.

On a separate subject when Shamorie hit his game winner with 4.8 left in overtime against VCU at the Barclay's Center, back in November of 2018, I was sitting directly behind his family. There was lots of hugging and pandemonium by all of us after the shot went in. His mom told me that he was under the weather but played despite that. We played pretty poorly in that one but Ponds was huge at the end and pulled it out for us.

It wasn't you. Referencing our last buzzer beater at MSG, as you did, is a lot different then comparing them
Hope it wasn’t me lol. I brought it up too. But said this was nothing like that game. That was electric.

Glad for the W but this was painful to watch.
While Soriano collected another double-double, he once again struggled around the rim. Some of his misses were within 3 ft of the basket. Not a good look for pro scouts.
Spears was unstoppable and kept the Hoyas out front with key shots.
We obviously miss Posh in the backcourt. Not sure why Pinzon was DNP.
MUST BEAT THE HALL!

I recall the refs swallowing their whistle on VCU’s last second shot. Ponds clearly fouled the shooter on the arm, but no call was made. A rare occasion for us.

Yep that's exactly what happened, we got bailed out big time.
