I'm thinking there's no way Rick does anything but put the best players and best strategy on the floor to win this game from.the onset.
To think any differently would be dangerous in my mindset. This isn't Christ the King vs. Cathedral Seminary Prep in the days where those kids sfudying for the priesthood would compete in the same league as Molloy, Holy Cross, CTK, etc. These are D1 athletes we are playing against and giving anything less than our very best in all ways from the jump ball could lead to a disastrous result.
Come out as if we are playing UCONN. Play our best with our best, and maybe at some point late in the game Rick can rotate just seniors out of the game to get each kid an ovation as they are subbed out.
This game can put a cap on a remarkable close to the tegular season, but also let's be honest since 4 of the last 5 games have been against the bottom teams in conference.
Georgetown IS good enough to beat us even if we are double digit favorites. I don't want to feel like we are planting a flag at the top of Mt Everest, only to slip at the last moment to plunge into the abyss.
Looking forward to a great day but not foolish enough to think that this will be a Garden party without another great effort by our guys.
Post note: it's really too bad that our fans are clamoring late for tickets to a game vs. A 2-17 opponent. I was in the ticket office and they were scrambling to package a giant stack of will call tickets as if this was a really big game. Those fans missed a really enjoyable ride this year.
