The question for us in this one is whether or not we have enough offense to get the job done. DLo struggles against Georgetown and is also probably not 100%. Sheed, Phil, and hopefully Jamal Branch need to step up for us to have a shot.
This is not a Jamal game, this is a Rysheed game imo. Need him to have a good one.
With this team, I don't necessarily buy the focus on one or two players. I see it more as a team effort. We've been moving the ball so well and selflessly that 5 of our top 6 rotation players have had their moments knocking down big shots. When Amar is on the floor, even though he hasn't been money yet, if he's open he gets the ball. Gone are those recent days of last season where guys took the first opportunity they had to launch low percentage shots.
Defensively, we have to continue the high energy doubling down, and when we do, rotate well to guard the perimeter. Our athleticism has pressured a lot of turnovers, but it can't be a reckless gambling when opponents capitalize on every error we make. If that happens, we have to adjust and play tough in your face defense.
Harrison has had long droughts where everyone else was scoring. Sampson, Greene, Pointer, and of course Branch also. Anything above 8 points from CO is a bonus. Keep hitting the open man, and a hero will emerge.
