FrancesaCon

He's not an expert by an means. He's a fan like most of us. And he's a Syracuse homer and always will be.

Ed Coleman went to 'Cuse.

My best friend went there, I visited him there a lot in the 70's--- cause being a commuter, going there was a lot of fun.

I gave him the business when we beat them and he did to me when it was vice versa. There was time, back in the day, when we were usually superior to them and certainly could hold our own.

My problem with JJ is he has an annoying personality, loud, obnoxious, and imporper diction is irritating, way too many of "dees, dems and does", can we get someone on the radio who speaks proper English.

I know Moose, he went to Cuse but, I would not say he is a die hard like some of the folks I know. He likes the Johnnies.

Mike opened his show today with STJ. Love him or hate him he has a huge audience and it's good to hear him talking Johnnies hoops

What did he say?

He said they gutted out a great win which is what you have to do. Coming back from 4 down not palying your best in last minute. He thinks 20 wins
should get them in. Big game against Gtown and Butler in the next few days. They should win both, being at home. He also stated that Syracuse could
state ;they are NY's team but they are not,, that also goes for Conn. He said it would be great for NY to have a good St. John's team.
Same things he has always said but I think he now sees it's possible. Also mentioned that other NY teams like Iona cannot thrill the City like St. John's can
when they are good.
Mike's jumping aboard like most NY'ers will once they start winning.

Just heard him say that the only college team who can light up NYC is SJU. Not even the Cuse can get this city focused on college basketball. So all we have to do to own this city come march is win. If we win we will fill the garden and own this city. Once Lavin gets delivers a winner we will smoke the orange , bury uconn, eat the ACC for lunch.

So remember WE ARE ST.JOHNS

More Johnnies talk from Big Mike- STJ would be the big story, back cover, lead the news story, if they can make tourney and win a game or 2.

Even if Mike's interest is heightened because of his recent negotiations to televise his talk show on FS1 it should be a plus for the Big East and SJU.

Agree that for whatever reason he's on the bandwagon, it's good for us.

But as much as I like hearing this, when he has Boeheim as a guest, he treats him like a god. I remember when he used to do the same thing to Calhoun at Pukon.

The deal with FS1 is still hurting us...most of my friends (non sju fans) don't even know what channel that is.

It would be nice to play some games on ESPN....

How hard is it to look once, find it, write it down and move on. Eventually it will get ingrained in your memory.

The interviews with Calhoun made me sick

Nobody actually does that...writes down a channel. Casual/non-st. johns fans go back to what they know...if they're looking for college hoops, the first channel they will turn on is ESPN. I do the same when st. johns isnt playing.

you can't deny that the lack of games on ESPN hurts us.
