His contract may start at a later date, but it would be cool if his firat week on Fox Sports1 is Feb. 24. That would mean his next day's show would be a lead in to the pregame show of the game against Xavier.
 
Mike led off the show with St. John's before getting in to Michael Sam all day but Lavin is going to be on with him today. Not sure what time though.
 
Mike will probably act like he is being held as a hostage, being forced to do somehting against his will.

The last time I heard Lavin on Mike's show, beforehand Mike made a comment that implied that he was reluctantly have Lavin on. Like Lavin was bothering him to get get on his show.

He also kept on teasing Minko about how bad we were.

Mike went on to say Johnnies are one of the best defensive teams in the country and they will make
the NCAA's and win a couple of games. Best St. John's team he has seen in years!
They will be a handful for any team they play.

He was gushing about the team, esp after he hung up with coach and was talking to the Mink Man. He even took 3 or 4 STJ calls after the break.

Really keep thinking of when Lavin called him out during one of his first interviews about getting to a game.
Mike has 3 young kids. They will have fun taking pictures with the mascot and the band and all. He should get to a damn game.

I bet he will televise from the BE tourney, esp if he is really going to Fox 1

I have no doubt that BE basketball will become a bigger part of the show if he goes to FoxSports1 and the show is televised nationally. Will it be the major focus? Of course not, but Mike had a big background in college football and basketball. He got away from that with Dog, because the NY market didn't want to talk about that stuff on a regular basis. But national tv/radio means more college sports.
 
So what if Francesa is jumping on the bandwagon. So what if he wet his Diet Coke bottle with accolades. The important thing was he talked SJU hoops. We complain he doesn't care, then we complain he comes across as -- heaven forbid -- a fan.
