Monte what do you take away from CO in the PC game, then only 11minutes in the RM game in which he had no fould.

I fairness SJU, I think that to 95% of the posters on here anything less than the NCAA tourney is a disappointment. Lavin was not brought here to turn us in to an NIT level program.

I fairness SJU, I think that to 95% of the posters on here anything less than the NCAA tourney is a disappointment. Lavin was not brought here to turn us in to an NIT level program.

At this point, all I can tell you is Lavin is bringing in better recruits than we have seen in a while. Hopefully, it translates into wins and tourney appearances. If it doesn't next year, I will revisit the issue and let you know how I feel then. Again, I can't see into the future.

As far as the contract extension, I think it should be done. It is necessary in order for a coach to be able to recruit successfully. Contracts always have buyout clauses.

Exactly. My point being that Lavin recruited higher ranked kids but he hasn't necessarily recruited better basketball players or a good combination of players. The best coaches in college basketball always seem to have a few lunch pail players on their teams, amidst the MCAAs. We've had no one like that in Lavin time here.

Garrett wasn't built like a truck, but he was a lunch-pail player I'd say. He rebounded, he played defense, and he stuck to that for the most part.

But with an extension, we still might not get Briscoe and Diallo. I don`t want to give him another 3 -4yrs, him getting the same type of recruits that can`t shoot the ball, and getting years where we`re almost good enough to make the NCAA but just couldn`t do it.

What if the top kids just doesn`t want to come here no matter what Lavin tell them, I mean 2 recruits in 2 years?
That right there makes me nervous. Even if he gets transfers, they`re still not HS recruits.
