Final 5 Games

I would love 4, but 3 seems possible since we struggled earlier against teams like PC & DePaul who have rugged inside games. (Although missing Ponds in one & Heron in the other). Xavier is down this year, but has size and are tough at Cintas Arena. I fully expect to beat SH Saturday.

Is it wrong to be disappointed with 3 wins?[/quote]

No. I think we'd all be fine with 4-1. That would get us to 23-8 (11-7).

3-2 these last five would be disappointing IMO.

Barring any of our starters missing a game, we should go 4-1. I would considering 3-2 a disappointment.

Probably lose 1 of either Prov, SH, or Xavier.

3-2 is minimum we should be able to win. This is all big for seeding the rest of the way. We need to really look to tighten up here, not setbacks. Our path to ncaa is right in front of us and we can really lock up a solid seed if we play well to close it out.

No, though it'll be enough. And it'd be nice to enter the BET with single digit losses.

Anything less than 4-1 is a disappointment, so yes I too will be disappointed with with 3-2. I would be extremely disappointed if we get swept by any of SH, Depaul & Providence and we should sweep X. Table is set, now we have to go eat dinner.

Also this. I think it's kind of important to get a 6 seed and avoid the 1s and 2s the first weekend if they can get a win.

I'd be ok with 3-2 (although hoping for 4-1); wouldn't feel too bad about 22-9 and 10-8 in BE, especially if we win a game or two in BE and NCAA. Anything less than 3-2 in next 5 is big disappointment as far as I'm concerned even if we were to sneak into NCAAs.

Thinking back, I believe I predicted 12-1 and 11-7 for us before games started, so in that sense I should be a bit disappointed with 3-2.

Agree, '88. Anything less than 4-1 will be a disappointment. So, I also would be disappointed, Moose, if we fail to win at least 4 of the remaining 5 regular season games.

3 wins would be fine with me, as we'd be 100% locks to make the NCAAT. 4 would be awesome, but 3 would be perfectly fine.

If we play tough and focused, all 5 are winnable.
But 4-1, with a loss @ Xavie4 would be very nice, followed by a solid performance in the BET and be 25-9 on Selection Sunday.
IMO, 3-2 would be disappointing, since it would likely mean we’d finish behind the Hall and likely get a n 8-9 seed in the Dance.
FWIW, pre-season, I had us 12-1 in the OOC and 11-7 in the BEC, so I’m sticking with that, but again, running-the-table here is very achievable if we play these remaining games on all cylinders.

Like others have said. Barring injuries this is all based on. 5-0 is a definite possibility. 4-1 is probable. I think 3-2 or worse would be a disappointment as we need to demonstrate consistency with winning especially at this time of year. We lost without ponds and heron in 2 of the other games so with them we have no excuses.

With 4-5 more wins and a couple in the big east tournament no reason we shouldn’t climb to a 3-5 seed.

At this point I would think and hope our inconsistent play from earlier is behind us. Winning against Villanova was huge and now it’s time for this bunch to prove what they are capable of.

If we won the last 5 that would put us on a 7 game winning streak finishing the regular season. I see a 3 seed if we did that and then Won a few in big east tourney as well

Very possible: 2-3
Expectation: 3-2;
Hope: 4-1
Dreaming: 5-0

These aren't great match-ups for us, despite the opponents' records.

3-2 would be disappointing considering we are 3-1 against Villanova and Marquette.
7-7 against the rest of the league would infer lack of focus.

One game at a time. Beat Providence. 15 fouls between Clark, Keita and Roberts.

Three also gets SJU into the top four in the Conference, perfectly fine with me too.

I would add that we could win four and I will be disappointed if the losss is to Seton Hall.

I really want that game.

Beat Providence first!

Then I"ll take 3 an 2 its been and up and down year so that's what i expect!
