Docuseries Pitino: Red Storm Rising to Premiere February 11, Exclusively on VICE

The show is fire. I don’t remember the sad story about his child. Devastating.

I do believe that’s the year they scorched us at the Garden before they played G’Town. I was at the game and Brooks and Donovan hit everything. I so wanted the rematch with the Hoyas but we were denied.

Great second episode.... loved the whole Zuby story about his family and second family. Love seeing the personal part of these kids lives. They are all so much more than just the players we see on the court. This is a great group. Thought it was real interesting hearing Rick say that last play at Creighton was for Zuby. As RJ drove the lane, Zuby was open at the three to RJs left. Surprising that a Zuby three was the call there from Rick?

Forgot about the Pitino's losing their baby son. What a tragedy for the whole family. Amazing to see how that team then went on to the final four.

Can't wait for next weeks episode.

Favorite moment so far... prior to NM game:

Rick during office interview: "It's not about who wins or who loses, it's about both teams playing a great game."

cut immediately to:

Rick mic'ed during practice: "WE DON'T WANNA LOSE TO THESE FUCKING GUYS!!"
Ep 2 in the books. Compelling.

A nit pick, pointed out by OLV72 to us in our group text.

RP says he grew up on E. 26th Street in Manhattan, just blocks from the Garden. Rick is 72, the Garden back then was the "old" Garden not the one down the street on 33rd Street like it is now. Eight Ave. between 49 and 50th Streets.

After watching Ep 2 how can anyone not LOVE Zuby, the back story about his families is so touching. His Pops seems so genuine and the reason behind us getting Zub.

Rick sitting around in the coffee shop b.s.ing and busting chops with his "guys", who doesn't relate to that.

I was weary, but I love this show, almost as much as Monte's Bound By Bushwick.

So Looie born and lived in Manhattan and so did Rick, two paisanos, “Cent'anni" !!!
