Congrats on appearing in it! Watching it right now.

One question: where were all the mentions from the coaching staff and Rick about what great students the players are, how hard they hit the books and their outstanding performance in the classroom.........

.........he says, dripping with sarcasm. (Dead-so since NIL, those old tropes are gone the way of the tube-t.v.)

oh- meant to ask the board this earlier - after listening to Coach Mas on Dave's Pod- now seeing him here again... whats the take on him potentially taking over once Rick hangs it up? (personally love the way he comes across and articulates things)

After a couple good seasons to Start at Manhattan... closed with 7 straight non-winning seasons... underwhelming

Underwhelming when he handled the game in CRP's absence last season too. Seton Hall in UBS debacle if I am correct.

When is Amase going to show up on a post game recap drinking his vodka right as he goes live.

The biggest shoutouts ever to our Redmen internet father and friend ( Paul Massell ) The founding Mr father of St John’s Fandom on the internet

And huge shout out to Pat Kane ( Amase ) and podcast Dave who had the vision to expand St John’s Fandom to new venues. Its ideas like yours and new avenues that reshape younger people that give me hope that St John’s fandom continues past us

I'd answer that if I wasn't afraid he might beat me up at an event

Enjoyed watching last night, helped me relax after watching our heartbreaker. High quality stuff. I think I'll wind up watching the rest on replay as 10 o'clock starts will have me dozing off before an episode ends.

Great episode, especially since I made a fleeting appearance in the Delta Club at MSG when they had the open practice in October. :) Emmy award possibility right there just for that.
I didn't even know camera was there when we were there. Camera caught me texting the 114 crew then waiting for our free drinks at the bar with one of my work partners :)

A paragraph from the 2/17/25 edition of Newsday article

Storm’s effort cannot waver down stretch

“Pitino said that this success has happened despite some early-season issues inside the locker room — one involving Smith and another involving Simeon Wilcher — that people will see in the next episode of the Vice TV docuseries about the program’s season. He also said that while getting past that to reach their lofty place is an accomplishment, they can achieve so much more if they don’t lose the focus that’s brought them here.

“It takes time to build a team, and even with the injuries, this team never wavered with their work ethic,” Pitino said. “But they’re getting it now. They’ve arrived. The Garden is packed. They’re playing great. But . . . we could go in and lose to DePaul. You see [our] numbers, [so] it’s very easy to do.””
