If true, guess that means St Johns is just handing out degrees????
Lol ok. You asked why people are speculating and compared it to an athlete in a completely different scenario and I answered. Let’s see if one tweet mentioning it by Rothstien means he’s getting a graduate degree.

It’s not a problem. It’s just hard to believe a D1 athlete graduated in 2.5 years while attending two different schools.

2.5 years is reason alone to be skeptical. Transferring makes it that much more difficult. It’s not an attack on the kid.

This is really what drove my curiosity. Nothing to do with Jones and, like I said, there is a long list of players who are graduating under circumstances that I can't imagine when comparing it to my own college experience. When I transferred schools, I lost enough credits to add a semester onto my timeline. And, that was with taking a full load and summer classes.

I wish Jones and all the graduates well -just don't understand how it is done.

He's likely taking summer classes. There's three summer terms, one in late May, one through June and one through July. He's probably taking the max possible (and out of pocket, which is pretty $$$) in each term. Assuming he's confirmed its transferable with the school (Memphis isn't exactly an academically elite school) and that he's taken summer classes at other schools and he's flexible about his major, I can see it working out.

Removing Houston the AAC is a step down from the BE. Think Jones will put up numbers next year and could see him being in discussion for AAC Player of the Year.
I can't, but hope I'm wrong and the kid has a monster year.

Bad example. One of them was at the same school for 3 years and one hasn’t been at either school they attended for 2 full years. 1.5 at DePaul, & 1 at sju. Hard to graduate that way.
McConnell's well wishes are equivalent, in my mind, to Posh and Wusu.

I apologize Amase, I may have overreacted.

Jones is definitely a serious talent, but I don't think Penny is good enough to slap on guard rails and harness it.
Jones got a bit of a raw deal. He transfer to st john’s using his one time freebee and then we had a coaching change and he wasn’t invited back/encouraged to leave. I’d be up for something like one free transfer and free transfers on coaching changes. It just seems unfortunate that he’s have to sit a year.

Actually, Jones did okay. He earned his degree, does not have to sit and is probably making a little money on NIL.
