Deivon Smith News

As I've said before, Rick has a thing for character arcs....

Who's that in the picture? Curtis Redding?

Just get him 100% by the BET. We have 5 games left - 3 of those should be wins even without him.

Pitino put in play for Lefty last possesion of first half. I think his only shot of game but he was close.

Well according to the box score ho played 0 minutes yesterday. I guess you have to exceed 18 seconds to get credit. I think Lefty has a specific set of skill at this point that is on a BE level.

I realize I have sounded a bit down on Lefty this weekend but it's not that I don't think he can contribute. I just don't think it's this year. Just wanted to make that clear.

My sense is Kadary and Dev have made progress playing together and have better sense of their roles complementing each other.

This was something I was concerned about at the start of the season (and have actually been watching for in recent games) and I agree with you.

Agreed. Gives Kadary some room to take breathers as well without the pressure to create so often.

What I liked even more though was (a) Smith igniting the transition offense and his ball pressure and (b) maybe most important, him knocking down a few open 3s. If he can knock down open 3s that he doesn't have to create for himself that is HUGE for this team.
