D'Angelo Harrison

If Harrison comes back, which I find very likely, with Sanchez, we might be able to start some inside-outside game. We have not seen the full capability of this team. Playing together all summer will help get the teams chemistry flowing better.

I totally agree.

Throw in a healthy Branch, a more experienced Sir Dom, a more refined Obekpa, a more mature and experienced Jakar and things could be very exciting for us in our new league!

Add Jordan to the mix and then it should really be interesting. What a nice offseason gift that would be for us. Speaking of gifts, if God's Gift does come back for his senior year, then things will really be interesting.

I am very excited about next year. I wish everyone else felt the same around here.

This team is going nowhere without Harrison

I hope a reconciliation is in the cards
No no no. Your program can not depend on one player, ever. Sanchez, CO, Pointer, Sampson, all have better ability. They all have a better chance of making the NBA. Look again. It's true. If he wants to get with the program i will admit he he has the no how to make a play in a big spot, so if he cares about his mates it would be nice to have him aboard. But always remember, one player never makes your program. Utah's stock dropped when Van horn went 2 in the draft. Well, they didn't make the final four with him, but did the year he left. He was a 6-10 center who boarded and knocked them down from the outside. Is Harrison , A Van Horn? Aren't you glad i told you that story?

If D'Angelo's teammates are as good as you say, then please explain why the team (a) went 1-5 after suspending him (b) lost by 10+ points in 3 of those losses (c) scored an average of 55 ppg in that span.

Come on, I'm not saying the kid is Allen Iverson. But anybody ignoring the fact that he is essential to our offense is fooling themselves.

Are you saying that Steve Lavin fooled himself with this momentous decision? If so I totally agree. Until it happened there were some elements of the season that were surprising and pleasant. We were at least competitive in the BE and Steve saw fit to take that away from us for some stupid reason. It took a day to overcome the Va. game nausea but the Harrison thing will linger through the off season. Thanks Steve. Much appreciated. I just wish the kid would make up his mind right away to eliminate all the great debate threads on the subject. Frankly I don't see him subjecting himself to Lavin's crap any more but now were trapped in a waiting game. Puts a really lousy taste in your mouth after the orchestrated collapse. Now, if we only had a recruit or two lined up ..........

WE need more than Dlo for success next yr

I'll gladly take my chances with Harrison, Jakar, Dom, Sanchez, Obekpa, Jordan, Branch, Greene, Amir, Jones, Balamou, Marco and Gift.

We need Jordan and Sanchez. However, Dlo is a major player that we need for sure. Don't understimate his value. He is very important.

Imo, Balamou, and Marco aren't players that will help us in the future.

WRONG! We need Marco to loft the alley-oop passes (cleverly disguised as attempted three's) to Sanchez. Marco will go from leading in airballs to leading in assists. :p

Balamou is only a FR. he has upside. Next year Marco is a Sr. and Hooper is a better shooter, IMO he will spend a lot of time riding the pine unless DLO doesnt return,we get no recruits and we have transfers.

Balamou could be freaking awesome. He is the best athlete every time he is in the court...he's smart and plays hard. Wayyyyy too early to call it for that kid.

yes good lord give the kid a chance. he was only a freshman playing limited minutes and did some positive things. people are so quick to give up on freshmen yet they cry when people transfer out.

Every year OSNA has a ton of huge athletic kids . . . and every year their results are kind of blah compared to what they should be. And most of their kids seem to flop on the college level.

I said this the other day on one of the boards with regard to Obekpa, but I'll repeat it: I'm not sure how much coaching goes on at OSNA. In fact, my impression is that none goes on. So I'd say lets give Balamou some time with college coaches before writing him off.

One of my good friends brother is an assistant at OSNA. With that said, I have no idea whether or not you are right or wrong lol.

Agreed, like what I saw out of him. He would be a great choice for a redshirt but IDK if we can afford it.

I think Nick Lewis of OSNA is a good player.

He showed out as IS8 last year.

Balamou... the next Oladipo ;)

I won't discount anything until Balamou graduates.

But since I don't think Indiana will win it all, I'd rather he be the next someone else.

So that's it; I completely forgot the part in Lavin's job description that he let the inmates run the asylum just so as not to ruin Bobre's off season? Ah, the fine print always gets lost. So he spends his time figuring out how to get the team to collapse just to bust your chops!! Man, thanks for once again putting everything into the proper Bobre perspective, better than Tosh.0

Postive things? What exactly are you talking about, he showed nothing. I remember him hitting one lay up in the open court- where he clearly walked-- what other postive things are you speaking of? If we are counting on him we are in trouble.

He's just another one of Lavin's athletes who has no shot( as in shooting).

He played with great pace. He showed he has the potential to be a brilliant defender in time, and he will be a terror on the baseline and in the open court with his world class hops. He may never be a pure shooter, but he has a quick trigger and made plenty of shots at OSNA. I think he will be the kind of kid that makes people think "where did that come from" when he starts hitting shots as a junior.

A kid like this on the end of any bench is a positive. Writing him off is a huge mistake.

So the way Bobre sees it, Harrison has been "subjecting himself to Lavin's crap" all along, not the other way around. Interesting take. Just wondering if the other players on the team have been subjecting themselves to Lavin's crap as well, and if so whether there'll be a mass exodus in the off-season, or has Lavin purposely targeted D'Lo only, just so he'd be without his leading scorer for the final weeks of the season? Guess, unlike any other coach I've ever known, Lavin finds comfort in losing.
