D'Angelo Harrison

WE need more than Dlo for success next yr

I'll gladly take my chances with Harrison, Jakar, Dom, Sanchez, Obekpa, Jordan, Branch, Greene, Amir, Jones, Balamou, Marco and Gift.

We need Jordan and Sanchez. However, Dlo is a major player that we need for sure. Don't understimate his value. He is very important.

Imo, Balamou, and Marco aren't players that will help us in the future.

Balamou could be freaking awesome. He is the best athlete every time he is in the court...he's smart and plays hard. Wayyyyy too early to call it for that kid.

yes good lord give the kid a chance. he was only a freshman playing limited minutes and did some positive things. people are so quick to give up on freshmen yet they cry when people transfer out.

Postive things? What exactly are you talking about, he showed nothing. I remember him hitting one lay up in the open court- where he clearly walked-- what other postive things are you speaking of? If we are counting on him we are in trouble.

He played with great pace. He showed he has the potential to be a brilliant defender in time, and he will be a terror on the baseline and in the open court with his world class hops. He may never be a pure shooter, but he has a quick trigger and made plenty of shots at OSNA. I think he will be the kind of kid that makes people think "where did that come from" when he starts hitting shots as a junior.

A kid like this on the end of any bench is a positive. Writing him off is a huge mistake.

With respect i disagree, but hope you are right.

I would be very very surprised if he left. With the squad that we have coming in next year including him, we have something special going on, and he knows it.

From my perspective, His mother made the trip to the school, spoke with him and Lavin, and with a son already in jail, she might see this as the perfect place and the perfect situation for her successful son to stay on the right path and become a better and more disciplined player. She would probably beat him with a wooden spoon if he chose to go down the Nuri Lindsay path.

Totally agree!! Harrison for all his antics.... Which by the way I hear he is honestly working hard on not just his game bit himself....is our leader, hd us our frontman.... I think we only go as fAr as he leads us!!!

Looking forward to seeing the 2000 pt. ball.

He's going to go down as an all-time St. John's legend. This is a little speedbump along the way that I think will actually help him the next two years.

If he's able to work through this and come out with some perspective, it will help him as a player and a person. What will also help him as a player is Rysheed Jordan. A combo of Jordan and Harrison will be nearly impossible for teams to defend.

He could also help Rysheed, because don't think that Rysheed doesn't have a little of the arrogance Harrison came in with. Look at the end of the game against Brandon Austin when he mockingly flung the ball at the kid with 21 seconds left in the game up 12.

Uhhh not if he comes back the way before he got suspended, 13 of 56 (or something like that), and 6-32 from 3pnt land.

Now if he comes back with his head on his shoulder and plays within himself (not forcing shots and not trying to be "THE MAN" then maybe he`ll be a big part on next years team. People do chance.
If not then maybe 2 PGs in the starting lineup Branch with Jordan who can shoot it as well.

Here`s hoping Harrison takes advantage his his 2nd chance because with his talent it would be a real shame to see it go to waste.

I think a good part of Harrison's frustration was the fact he really had to get his shot off without any semblance of offensive help, namely picks set for him. They overplayed him thus the forced jumpers. Most teams crushed the middle cutting off drives, easy to do especially with our lack of sharpshooters.
