D'Angelo Harrison

[ :eek:hmy: quote="19854ever" post=67281]I never understood Lenn's loyality to Norm Roberts when he was here, never made sense.[/quote]

Losers attract losers.

Jack great answer, the reason I said that was that in year 5 and 6 Lenn went out of his way to defend a coach who simply did not have the skillset to coach at the Big East level. Why would a columnist defend a bad coach in the ny media market?

When others in the ny sports media like Stephen a smith and mr. Vaccaro and even hoops Weiss woke up to logic and told the truth about Norm.

Sometimes writers and coaches make strange bedfellows?

My guess would be something as simple as Norm made himself and the team 100 percent available to Lenny, making his job easier.

Perhaps the level of access changed under Lavin and old Lenny has an ax to grind.

Maybe Lenny is a cheap bastard and there were more freebies under Norm.

Negative tone from Lenn for no reason. I see the lunch between Coach Lavin and Harrison as a very good thing and not as Lenn put it, "Red Storm fans can only only hope it is not the last supper." He could have easily turned this into a positive article about a 19 year old kid trying to get back in good graces with his team and coach. I guess that doesn't generate the same interest as casting doubt on Harrison's future.

does anyone here know for sure harrison's coming back? don't kill the messenger. the positive article about a 19 year old kid back in good graces with his team and coach should be written soon. in the meantime, the story's accurate.

He announced that he was returning. Without any additional info, that is is the end of it. We never know for sure if anyone is returning to any program. There are no certainties with teenagers. Don't think for a second if this butterball had ANY "info" even from a team manager (yes, he regularly offers incentives to team managers for info) that he wouldn't have said "sources close to the program."

Great news. I hoped that D'lo would get back on board. This would suggest he's doing the right things to earn his spot on the roster. Makes us a better team this year.

I know Phil gets a lot of grief on these boards about his shooting. But even WASJU wouldn't confuse him with Malik Boothe ;)

The sad thing about the article is it doesn't ask if we can be a factor in the NCAA tourney, it only asks if we can make the tourney. If we cant make the tourney w all that talent ,we are in trouble.{barring injuries, suspentions}.

I really never thought this would happen. Hopefully he will live by the team rules and play hard.
If he does, we will be a force to be reckon with. Sweet 16 potential. That said, its a long season from August on.
My fingers are crossed :)

If Harrison ends up having incredible season. And all of you love him again, I will dig up your Harrison hate posts from the past, that is all

There isn't one post on this page of the thread that is anti-Harrison
