Agree and was very impressed by the mental outlook the team displayed. However I am sure you share my disappointment in the amount of playing time given to S. Evans. Thank god Polee transferred. To me 24 assists tells the story. I didn't expect air tight defense at this stage of the game but to see so many touted kids share the ball like they did really showed me something. Any one of these guys could have taken over the game and gone for 35 but they played together. Looks like they've already figured out that they all will succeed if the team does. That's really great to see so early. Now THESE appear to be the character guys our former coaches used to talk about. The "D" will come around but I think the scoring droughts are over.
wtf, i don't see the replay on sny. its boxing
We'll be under the radar again. People will see us when we play Zona though. The talent will be evident. Tough matchup, but they aren't huge either and are young. Remember, they might not have their one experienced player in Parrom.

They still have Solomon Hill, Kyle Fogg and Jordin Mayes. Not to mention, Hill and Fogg played pretty solidly during 'Zona's tourney run.

And they have Turner and Sidiki. But losing Williams, Momo and Parrom is a lot.
I think we will win 1 of these MSG games. Just not sure which one.
I've watched the Post game a couple of times now and am willing to go out on a limb right here and now:
There is no question in my mind that this Saint John's team is capable of being ranked in the top 10 in Division 2.
Oh sure, I can hear the doubters now. No doubt some of you are thinking that there may be some D2 teams that have rosters where fully 40 percent of the players are not under 6 feet tall and the tallest player is above 6'5". And sure, there might be some D2 coaches who possess even more strategical acumen than the genyious that is Chris Casey, architect of the vaunted Gene Lawrence to Justin Burrel dribble dribble faux pick and roll offense that served the Johnnies so well during the Betlejuice years. To these doubters I say: BWAH and DOUBLE BWAH and also HUMBUG!
When was the last time we scored 100 points! And in fact if we'd shot better than 40 percent from the free throw line the margin of victory would have been even greater! And with 24 assists! Not to mention that we managed exactly as many rebounds as the CW Post Midgets. Sorry, did I say Midgets, I meant Pioneers. And sure, Stephan Bonneau dropped 28 on us, but come on, I mean Stephan Bonneau, he's a special player. (Had we employed the Pentagon and None we could have shut him down entirely but I suspect we're saving that for conference play.) Even out walk ons looked good. I was especially impressed by Jamal White, who reminds me of Mel Davis.
This was the defining exhibition win of assistant coach Mike Dunlap's career. You naysayers really need to get a life.

How can you not watch the game and see how much better these players are in basically every aspect of the game than weve had in a long time? Even though it was an exhibition game against a division II apponent.
Watching this team will be so much more enjoyable then any team weve had in a long long time (and ill go out on a limb and say maybe ever) no matter what their record ends up being.
