YEA AND WE SHOULD BE PROUD THAT WE LET A DIV. II TEAM SCORE 80 PTS.
It would be greatly appreciated if, going forward, you wold take the cap lock off when you post.
Thanks.

The point is that our recent teams couldn't have accumulated 24 assists against a team of fire hydrants. .
They had 21 against Duke last year. Duke is I'm pretty sure a Division 1 fire hydrant.
Bonneau is a Division I talent. He was recruited by Norm and would've been with us if he would of had the grades.
Not entirely true. Norm took a look at him, but there was no offer. He's a very short two guard and not a point. I had him pegged for NEC level and pouring in about 20 ppg.
This was my writeup on him from Big East Boards in 2008 (I wasn't happy with Redmen at the time)
A little recap for the ladies on redmen.com: Bennou has a sick--and I do mean S-I-C-K--vertical that will leave you with your jaw dropped. He has a very nice outside shot (although there is no way he is hitting anywhere near what redmen reported % wise) that I predict will fall around the 35-37% mark in D-1 ball depending on how many tough shots he takes. Negatives: he is 5'9 (not 5'11), gambles defensively and does not play sound defense when he's not gambling. His grades and character make him a tremendous risk. He is a two guard in a PG body. He is best suited for the NEC in my opinion.
Norm would have offered if he knew he was going to get an associates. He didn't offer, and rightfully so, because it was too risky. I'm not saying he is an impact player for St. John's- but he is without question an A-10 player.
Norm also took a good look at Tyshawn Edmondson and Ced look what happened with them. The guy was totally clueless and that's why he failed. .

We scored 110 points against a good Div. II team.
Arizona(16th team in the nation) lost to a Div. II team tonight and only scored 68 points.
For those that don't know Arizona this year: Frosh PG Josiah Turner was the #14 Recruit. SG Nick Johnson is #22. Center Angelo Chol is #59. PF Sideki Johnson is #89. They reture Elite 8 players Jesse Perry, Solomon Hill, Kyle Fogg, Brandin Lavender, Jordin Mayes, Alex Jacobson, and Kyryl Natyazhko, Chol is 6'9 225. Johonson is 6'8 240. Natyazhko is 6'11 275, and Jacobson is 7'0 260.....Hill, Fogg and Perry were starters, and Mayes, Lavender and Natyazhko all played double digit minutes last year....
The loss of Kevin Parrom hurts, but not THAT much.
Momo hurts a LOT more than they planned. Don't think that kids attitude would have PEMITTED a loss like this one.
Boy it must have taken you awhile to research that.
Not unanticipated for sure and that's why I said "recent" teams. Now, considering this was the first time these kids played an actual game together I still think it's a remarkable number. I know it was driven by jealousy over the cute fire hydrant analogy but I still think the point is valid.
You seem to be taking the devil's advocate position just to stir up some controversy but you can do better than that. Despite what you say though this bunch looks a player or two short of being the real deal and criticizing them during October strikes me as self serving and and myopic.
It's way too early to draw any conclusions

Turner is academically ineligible at this time.

Third game I looked at actually. See, to have a lot of assists in a game there need to be a lot of points scored and there certainly weren't a lot of those sorts of games recently so that narrowed it down a bit. Besides, what's a couple minutes of googling as opposed to talking out the posterior and sounding like a complete nitwit.
That was a rhetorical question, obviously.

If you are going to accuse me of bring envious of your mad writing skills a good idea might be to do it in a sentence that makes some vague sort of sense. Consider: "Now, considering this was the first time these kids played an actual game together I still think it's a remarkable number. I know it was driven by jealousy ..."
In this sentence the "it" refers to what? The first time? The remarkable number? An actual game? I know paragraphs can be hard, but still.
FTR, the only thing I envy in you is your capacity for self-delusion.
You seem to be taking the devil's advocate position just to stir up some controversy but you can do better than that. Despite what you say though this bunch looks a player or two short of being the real deal and criticizing them during October strikes me as self serving and and myopic.
What's myopic is your reading comprehension. If I criticized anything, it (see, here "it" refers to anything - see how that works?) was those posters who were out dancing on the ledge. In fact, the entire point of my post was that there was little to be learned from this game because the opponent was so weak.
It's way too early to draw any conclusions
Yes I know. That's what I said in my post three days ago, the one with which you are vehemently disagreeing.
I have to comment you. The recruits are rusty but you're already in midseason form.
