Its been awhile so glad to be back(and thanks for all the DM's)and sorry but my old account a.k.a SJU79 a.k.a Lashawn Trakel was working then wasnt and im both not smart enough and too old to try and figure it out so I just started a new one, sorry about that....my understanding is this is a done deal with some small issue to be worked out but I am confident he will be in uniform next season.

Nice, thanks for info.

Great to have you back 79!

Where did you read I said no fault lies with Mike Anderson? Find and quote that post for me, then we can have a conversation. Because if you can't find where I said that, then that means you would be a liar and you make up stuff because you're incapable of putting together a logical argument with actual facts, and if that's the case I don't want to have a conversation with you. I'm not a big of fan of liars.
I guess you don't like yourself much?

I love the idea of adding Curbelo IF Posh is 100% on board. It makes Posh's(and/or Curbelo's) 3p shooting again the biggest swing stat for next season. I can completely see significant improvement from either with their decent numbers from FT. It would be really hard to play Curbelo, Posh, and Soriano with anything but 2 good outside shooters if they continue to struggle from 3.

If Curbelo comes then it means that both Pinzon and Traore had a positive 1st year despite post Covid issues and a red shirt. That with lack of transfers (so far) tells me that CMA has the players really engaged despite a disappointing year.

Another advantage of Curbelo is Posh is injury prone, which really hurt us last year. Would hate to see him get injured again, but w Curbelo it won’t hurt as much. Plus maybe playing Posh less minutes per game can help minimize injury.

Injury prone? Interesting assessment

Just FYI 5 star Skyy Clark popped for Illinois. This was rumored to be why Curbelo decided to transfer as he knew Underwood was recruiting Clark hard.

Watched some highlights of this Melendez kid from Illinois.
Really nice form on his jumper. And from his limited playing time this year, they do seem to go in.
Not a proven commodity but he oozes potential as a SF.
Would really like us to get on him.
The best part of your analysis is that his jumpers “seem to go in”. The way this team has shot over the recent years, that may as well describe Chris Mullin in 1985.

I’m not positive he’s actually transferring. Illinois people seem to still be planning for him to be there next year from what I’ve seen

If he’s friendly with Pinzon and Curbelo then maybe we have a shot if Curbelo pops for us.

My fear regarding Curbelo is that he may be looking for a good NIL deal otherwise I think he may have announced by now. I hope that aside from Cragg’s focus on an upgraded half time show and “enhanced” fan experience, he has a good NIL program set up for these potential recruits. And it’s not necessarily the top recruits, it’s kids and their families who realize that the NBA is a long shot so they better make some money now. Perhaps Curbelo and his handlers are looking for the best deal?

I don’t know how these things work but thought Cragg just announced a lucrative new NIL partnership.

If he did, I hope it’s In play cause unless you’re practically a “no” star recruit, that is high in the must haves for most of these quality transfers. Even over facilities, fancy arenas and many times even the reputations of coaching staffs. It’s a new ballgame now.

No idea about Curbelo, but I would agree that NILs have to be a major consideration for both transfers and high school seniors. Hopefully we have something competitive in place to help CMA and staff.

If Curbelo comes, 60 percent of our potential starting lineup could be fluent in Spanish. If you can't find NIL deals in NYC for those guys, I'm not sure what else to say . . .
