Interesting perspective. My older brother, who is a very casual basketball but knows I am a die-hard SJU fan, called me right after the game assuming I'd watched it. He said he hadn't enjoyed a college game that much in years that both teams played so well it was a shame one had to lose.

Two very close road loses

I still remember last season watching most of the blowout out with a buddy

Pitino effect!

Let’s go St. John’s Tuesday night!
The old saying close only counts in horse shoes and hand granades. We need to win these games not just make them close. We are what our record is. If we want to break into the upper portion of this league, these games must be won.

Two Vinos in...still pissed but looking forward now…will be at the Pru on Tuesday…we get back on track w/a win…I know this is more suited to the SH Game thread but will be interested to see what Rick comes up with to defend Richmond. They are not deep but have a seasoned starting 5

You have to win games and if you don't win them you lose. When you don't win more games in your conference than all other teams, you don't end up at the top of league.

With the game on the line, you have to win or else you'll lose.

We lost by one point and if we scored 2 points more, we'd have won by a point.

Fifth year players must be better than fourth year who must be better than 3rd year who must be better than sophomores who must be better than freshman who must be better than hs seniors.

That's my expert analysis.

I agree. Let’s look at the standings.

Our record (4-2) has us in the upper portion of the Big East right now. Tied for fourth with…Creighton. The teams ahead of us are: Seton Hall, UCONN, and Villanova. Nova’s one loss is to…us

I’ll be upset if we lose to seton hall Tuesday. We are better than them in every facet. But they play tough and know how to make it a rock fight, and have streaky dangerous shooters.

Question: Maybe I'm blind, but I didn't see Luis in the game at the end, why???????????

Maybe because he doesn't pass? I'd still have him in.
