it’s hard to put things in perspective after tough losses, but our only two L’s in Big East right now are two absolute nail biters on the road. (To two top tier Big East teams)

Collect another road win @The Hall and then continue to hold serve at home. We will be fine. There are things to figure out but we will.

I realize fans are fans but from my perspective, home teams have been getting calls since only FOREVER!!
Make winning plays, make shots, get stops, get big rebounds, have the discipline to not foul, etc., etc., etc., that’s what good teams do, they take the game!! They don’t have 5th year guards that run away from the moment or short arm big shots. Or players intent on blocking jump shots…….
Coach English from Providence said it as well as I have ever heard, “eliminate losing”!! And SJU does NOT!! Blame the refs all you want but this team beats itself!! F’ another “moral” victory!! Go out and win the damn game. Personally, that is when I will jump on the “we are coming” bandwagon.

Jackson missed floater in the lane if memory serves.

Look all I am saying is if they called that against us I would have gone crazy so can’t do it the other way.
Wish they would have called it obviously.

No doubt. The “sky is falling act” after each loss is getting ridiculous. Not everything is going to go our way & each mistake is not the end of the world. Dial it back gents.

The midrange was there all day. Creighton conceded it to us. But none of our guys could really step up and hit one. Disappointing seeing Jenkins continue to try and test Kalkbrenner especially on that drive when we were up 1
 
The big mystery to me is what is up with Taylor. He didn’t take a shot all game. Perhaps the D of this team has gotten significantly better but the offense seems to be worse. Just go back and watch the Utah game. There was far better ball movement and ball distribution and more contributions by many. They also shot the ball better especially three point shooting. Looks to me like many have lost confidence in their 3 point shot.

Hopefully this is addressed as the D has improved but there needs to be a better offense as well.

I don’t know if Luis is ready for that, yet, especially if Creighton has two fouls to give. I think he’d take too long to set it up and not see a trap coming.

Do we want a 39% shooter who literally doesn’t draw any fouls in more than half the games taking difficult shots down 1? There are certain shots he hits almost automatically like open layups and that pull-up elbow jumper that go into that 39% mind you.

With the adrenaline and the added defense of a last possession scenario he’s not going to get that beautiful elbow pull-up. He’s going to have to heavily fade away from the basket at full speed.

Those two shots he missed the mast two possessions are the exact two he will take every.single.time.

Or how about a matchup nightmare like Luis who takes 5 FTs a game and draws contact at an elite level taking a close shot off a ball fake with a defender in the air?

Second question: if Jenkins takes only say 8-12 shots instead of 17, are Dingle and Alleyne looser when their #s are called late? We go away from Dingle for 10 minutes straight every fans it seems.
