Creighton Game

I won't get on the players at all. D'lo and Dom are warriors. Branch stepped up like a senior should when Sheed went down.

It's the coach that is awful. Really just no basketball sense at all. He is a motivational speaking, yoga instructing, fashion nightmare. He spends too much time in his luxury co-op on the west side and not enough time in Queens at the gym. It's obvious.

Our kids are not losers. They really do try hard and they are fun to watch. However...too much losing with this bunch and another year not in the NCAA tourney, it's time to clean house and go back to the drawing board.

Norm cleaned us up, Steve gave is some fun moments, but clearly isn't the future of this program. Time to move on, before it's too late.

Norm destroyed us.

My biggest concern now is that when Norm was on his last leg we all knew it(almost all of us). Present day I still see some either very stubborn or very unintelligent people still defending him. Could the administration fall for this con-artists tricks like some fans still have?

We just lost to a guy named Toby. From now on anyone who wants to defend this coach I will retort with that fact

As I said earlier in the season (and was skewered for it), losers tend to lose.

dont blame the kids for being so undermanned. we might have lost but our kids aren't losers

Agree. Thank you

I was really referring to the coach, but the players are certainly not "winners."

Cue the Lavin apologists' slogan.........."Let's just let this play out"

also

Cue the "Maybe we can win the Big East Tournament" comments

For the sake of this program we MUST move in a different direction. Keeping Lavin will be like watching re-runs, season after season.

I agree, we are far from the most intelligent team but this group has left it out there and that's really all you can ask. But in the end NASA didn't lose any candidates when our staff went into coaching either, Creighton has a 6'11'' guy who has shot about 100 of 130 shots this year from 3 and we act like we were surprised he was out there hoisting, never even putting a hand in his face. Like last year, just one could have been after another.

I believe he actually lives in SoHo to be accurate.

Tough loss, not unexpected, but they will be fine as long as Dlo and Jordan are healthy. I love that everyone is jumping off the bandwagon because the team plays its best when most have given up. Agree with most of you that I was mystified when Lavin called another momentum killing TO, they all seem to be right before the 8 minute TO for some reason. Branch fouling out was a killer. Those of you who don't see great year to year improvement in Pointer, Greene, Branch, etc., I don't know what you are watching. Amar clearly belongs in the rotation, played another solid game.

Do I have to start collecting belts and shoelaces from some of you?

I know this is another tough loss to swallow, but some need to stop bashing the players.

If you truly love this program, you should be proud of these kids and take the loss like a grown up.

Just saying.

Not for nothing.....I'm not a regular and I tend to only post during game threads, but when did anyone call any of these kids "losers?"

They are the antithesis of losers. I feel so bad for guys like D'Lo and Pointer who'll never experience an NCAA game because of the situation someone they trusted put them in.

I'm not harping on it, and I tend to be an optimist but I'm completely done with this coach. He has hung them out to dry repeatedly and the lack of any kind of bench blew up in their face again.

The season's not over but what are these kids going to do? Harrison can barely move. Jordan probably has a sprained knee. The rest of them can't get two fouls in 20 minutes....ugh.

They will be "fine" for what? Spring Break?

For the record, I was referring to our esteemed coach as a loser.

I agree. Lavin couldn't get a couple of 3 stars that could play some so he patched with walkons. To much other stuff for him to do here. I really hope the kids don't break down busting their butt for him. I guess they will do it for themselves.

Most everyone appreciates the kids. Problem is we have a salesman....uh....I mean coach who can't coach. Hopefully most folks see that by now.

A very stupid foul by Pointer with 34 seconds remaining ( Creighton had 25 seconds to shoot ) while we were down 2. Did Lavin call it?
With Creighton hitting threes we continued to help out in the middle leaving the corner wide open. Can you believe we have not been able to stop the three pointer for "FOUR YEARS?"
Great performance by Branch.
Need a strong winning streak to even think about playing in any tournament.

I really feel like shit right now.

We started 11-1, was ranked #15th in the country, and everything looked so promising. I really thought we were gonna witness a magical season.
Well, now we lost 6 of the last 8 games. We had to win 4 of the next 5 game, but no way does this team win four straight against the B.E.

And Monte, you're right. No extension for Lavin.

Well I need fresh air, I'm so damn hot. Laterz

Oldschool I felt just like you earlier in the year. I really thought this team was going to give us a special year. Something similar to the Artest sweet sixteen season. Unfortunately that's wasn't in the cards. I don't blame the kids at all. I feel terrible for them. I still stand by my opinion that, barring a complete collapse, Lavin should be allowed to come back for one more year. I don't think he's capable of doing anything to right the ship, but hopefully he can land a few more solid recruits so that he leaves the new coach with something to build upon.
