This was case of the Johnnies playing NYC-tough, refusing to be denied…we’ve been looking for them to look like a team on a mission and today was that day…there was not one player that put himself above the mission…it is so sweet given that UCONN looks down their nose at us and figured theyd roll us…

Lots of player cred to go around…Pinzon and Storr bringing energy and diversity to the offense (both improved and committed on defense). . .Posh looked rejuvenated. . .Soriano is legit and a good selection as captaiin

Huge today to break road slide, but margin of error to punch Dance ticket is still a challenge. Proverbial “one game at a time” applies now. We did a lot of things right today, especially scoring in paint, rebounding and defending. Hopefully that translates to consistency.

As I said, I think that CMA is actually reading these posts. He went went from cheerleading a few games back to actually coaching and making changes in the lineups. This is all stuff that we have been saying here all year. Kudos to the Coach for having the foresight to make these changes. Now let's beat NOVA!!!!! I can't wait for Friday!

Or maybe he watched a replay if that all-access debacle.

One of the greatest scenes on TV was when Hurley called Time Out with 1:50 left in the game and Fox stayed on w/o commercial and showed the Con's walking up the stairs to leave early and then panned around through the stands with wonderful frowns on their face.
The Klingon looked lost on the floor and was a non factor--maybe Jones got to him with Vulcan Mind Control.
Dylan was tenacious out there in the 2nd half as we focused on Hawkins unlike the first half--good adjustment.
Storr and Pinzon are starting to up their defensive side of their games.
Turn overs-our bane this year-were held to a minimum-our best Big East game and only 2 in second half.
Uconn fouls were not a surprise as they average nearly 20/game. Is this sloppy play as they use their hands rather than their feet?

Hurley got out coached today. Also I truly believe our chaotic style rubs off on the other side. We are not a disciplined team when it comes to passing or shooting which throws off the play of the opposing team.

They looked pretty disciplined in their passing and shooting today. Didn't jack up a lot of threes and consistently found the cutters and scored in the paint.

Posh, Storr, Wusu and Soriano combined to convert 20 out of 25 at the line for 80%. Got to get the rest of the guys going. I'm sure Pinzon can do better than he did today at the charity stripe. Especially Curbelo with the 0 for 4 performance from the line.

What a great unexpected win!
Soriano was a beast!
Best surprise of the day was the play of Storr and Pinzon.
CMA gave the fans what they have be calling for in that regard and limiting the bad on-court decision making by Jones who now knows Storr and Pinzon will eat up his minutes if he doesn't play team ball.

This win may quiet the Pitino for Coach fans for a few days until the Nova game.

Just watched the game after reffing some games. What a great win. Watching the game as I read the posts is the way to go. That way I'm not going crazy watching it. Super effort by so many. Really good job by the staff preparing and coaching up the team. Key changes in personnel a big factor. On to 'Nova. Will be happily watching that one from warmer Venice.

I don't care of Curbelo scores 30 the next game, I'm officially off his bandwagon. He had a great game. The game is over, he can literally just stand still and they win by 15 points... He's like nah, let me go foul this guy, then let me talk crap and get a technical and get tossed, it's unbelievable. I couldn't be his coach, I would kick him off the team. That's just selfish.
Loved him whenever I saw him play as a freshman. But now I swear it seems like he's auditioning for a reality series half the time.

Two most encouraging things I saw today were (i) confidence of Storr & Pinzon and (ii) way Jones was so excited slapping everyone five at the end even though he didn't play that much. Love to see that. Let's build on it.
