Sorry, but the refs were horrible both ways; you want to beat a UConn, you make plays, you hit shots, you make free throws, you get big rebounds!! You take the game!!! And call out one or two players all you want, there was not a single Johnnies player that stepped up…..
Luis did in his limited minutes

Certainly a frustrating loss. Lots to be disappointed about especially in regards with our reluctance to get Joel the ball and with our end of game strategy. Even I, one of the most cynical board member can see some good things. First and foremost, we took the National Champions to the wire at their place. Second, we showed we can slow down a good offense especially if the refs are light on the whistles. Finally RJ Luis seems like he can be a real St John's type player. A tough on ball defender, high motor, and slightly out of control.

Let's get a W versus Hofstra and remember that finishing 2-1 over these three games was a result we would have been very happy with before the Xavier game.

Not a moral victory guy usually but I thought we played a really good and competitive game. Calls were wonky both ways (even though I’m still pretty sure that white haired ref is gonna be at the Hurley Christmas dinner)

Unfortunately it’s a make or miss game and we missed some crucial ones.

but I’m excited for the rest of this season. Especially with Luis in the fold. That wasn’t the case after BC game.

This on Pitino
Ledlum and Jenkins are role players trying to do too much
You must be kidding. Pitino is getting the absolute maximum out of this team. They went down to the wire against the defending national champs on the road who were desperate not to start 0 and 2 in the Big East. The guys didn't shoot it well and had some bad bounces go against them. But their defensive effort was excellent and their effort and fight was off the charts.

Pitino should change this year rotation giving much more time to Wilcher and Dunlap for next year. Now, it is proven that Ledlum, Jenkins and Dingle trio can not win against top 64 teams. NO Way.

We just lost only by 4 to the national champs number 5 team . I’ll take it shows who we are in National tv great game
Yeah that’s great. Ledlum couldn’t hit a shot when it counted (and he had great looks too) and Jenkins is out of control. Ledlum has 2 FTs to tie and misses BOTH? I don’t understand how Pitino is letting Jenkins play like this.

I’m not like destroyed or anything because it’s still early in the season but that game was for the taking and we didn’t take it.

Definitely a game we should have won but too many plays to overcome and we didn’t. From the offensive rebounds we gave up to the missed foul shots toward the end to the questionable person who took the 3 (and I’m not a Jenkins hater). Couple other guys should be taking that before he does.

And I had to text a friend in Jersey to place this bet for me and lost $$ on it. Ugh.

Terrible job by Rick tonight

Jenkins was 27% from 3 this year coming in, 30% for his career, and 1-6 tonight and he takes the game-tying 3 with 100% confidence without letting anyone else touch the ball.

One of the most disgusting plays I’ve ever seen in my life. And it was 100% predictable.

Kick him off the goddamn team.
Kick him off the team? Probably the most ridiculous thing ever said on this board. I hope you were kidding.
